Shipp and Buckhalter: A quick fix for next year

I felt the same way nnoy. I was at Chicago#1 and I feel that my team has a good chance ( in spite of the schedule, which gives us almost no passes) to win our league. However, after seeing some of those other teams, I guess I will have at least another year to plan where to spend 100K.

Chicago League 1

King, I cant remember all three teams exactly, but the 8 or 9 spot on one board got James, Barlow, Martin, a good WR (cant remember which), Moulds, Vick, another QB, ..... On that same board, I know 2 of the 3 teams at 1,2 and 4 spots were very strong because that is where the #3 guy picked Boldin i...

Chicago League 1

It was a tough draft Jim - ours was a tough group. The RB's did go fast but so too did the WR. The best at the mid to end of the 4th was Price, Porter, Burress. I think you got Hasslebeck at a good value #42? By the way thanks for taking Jordan!

Chicago League 1

No, it was #3 league for sure and than either # 2 or #4. Two drafts look good (this was 1 of them - anyone's game) and the other two had some lopsided drafts.

Anquan Bolden 31st overall pick???

Yeah, there are a couple of stacked teams coming out of Chicago because of picks like that. Which was worse - Boldin in the 3rd of Buckhalter in the 8th? M. Robinson was also another nice early pick. Too much trauma for me to remember which round. I felt like we drafted a great team in our group and...

I agree on the defenses. If you count sacks - I think defensive TD's should only be 3 points. I've had a lot of losses in the playoffs because of monster defensive games. The Pats last year against Miami, and the Bears against the Lions a couple of years ago.

Good point Dyv - but I dont know what good an example schedule does us. We've all seen an ff schedule before. That's why I asked.

Team Schedules

Hey Jim, you mentioned an "example schedule" on the site. Does that mean that it is just a sample, or is it the real deal.

Hump Day Chat Has Begun

As far as that other event goes - who cares about $500 for fourth place? Is that really supposed to entice me? I'm out to win.

Change Head To Head Next Year

I am also concerned about teams "losing interest" as they are eliminated from the playoff hunt. I have seen this in other leagues, and it can ruin it for everyone else. Hopefully, the high stakes nature of this event will eliminate those that don't appreciate the fun of competition. Do we have any s...
