NFFC offers a negative 20% return on your money over the long run. (to the average player)
The Stock market is down 30% since we drafted.
I called my broker today and let him know that we need to find some mid-season leagues to diversify into. Screw gold.

$250 leagues question.
The prize structure seems lacking of explanation.
Is this correct for a $250 non-DC league?
$250 to the points leader and $250 to the head-head-champ at the end of 13 weeks? Then the top 4 teams, (all points or what?) playoff for the 3 prizes of $1550, $500, $250.

League totals are very misleading, it doesn't show astuteness at all. It shows evenness...
If someone drafted really well and has a stacked bench that hurts the league points total. That doesn't show one league is better or has more astute owners...

Which Top Draft Picks Will Bounce Back & Which Ones Won't
Addai will be ok, average but fine...He is on the field most of the time in a high scoring offense, he gets receptions and has never had a humungous workload. Braylon was on my avoid list, he probably won't bounce back to top 5 WR like last year, hopefully for his owners maybe top 15...You could see...

A Second Waiver Wire
Overreacting to a once every 5-10 year thing.
Why does NFFC have to change because a few people took zeroes. Shouldn't those people think about changing their strategies? The rules are great, the contest made the obvious/only choice.
knee-jerk

Thursday Night Predictions
Sucker pick Giants.
Redskins cover, take the 4 points.
I'll say Portis and Jacobs gain 5.0 each per carry and the score is kept reasonable with all the solid rushing 24-21.

The anatomy of a winning squad.
Right, and with 3 Wrs starting, plus 2 Rbs and a Flex a lot of the first 10 draft picks "should" be best player available. Obviously tiers and postion scarcity are considerations but why take a 10ppg guy like Julius Jones over a 13 ppg guy like Donald Driver when you still have a RB and a Flex spot ...

There is no formula, if there was one then it wouldn't work since those players that fit the formula would be overvalued. You need points, plain and simple, doesn't matter where they come from and there is no formula for it. I got chuckles from picking my 4th WR by the 5th round this year. Guess I g...

NFFC Satellite League Results
I watched this league unfold, Brees at #10 overall and the same guy took Santana Moss in the 3rd. The Ahman Green pick in the 6th is pretty bad. Other then those 3 picks nothing looks too terrible. Plus the Brees pick doesn't even hurt that much. I can see more then one main event league where Brees...
