Re: a scoring question
If the KC score hadn't been negated, how would it have been scored. Assume Mahomes gets a TD pass and all the yardage, Toney gets a TD, Kelce gets a reception, but how would the yardage split between Kelce and Toney? There is a famous precedent for this. Randy Moss invented Kelce's play. It happene...

Re: Week 12 Thoughts & Observations
Tom, great column. However, you really think Rodgers couldn't make that throw?Watch that miss and try to tell me Rodgers isn’t also culpable. A mediocre NFL quarterback should make that throw 90% of the time. A first ballot Hall of Famer? Slam dunk.
Instead.
Nope.

Re: Week 11 Thoughts & Observations
Tom, love your thoughts and observations. In a forum not very rich on content (not for the lack of trying from you and the rest of the NFFC crew), this is one of the things I look forward to. On the Packers - There was no chance in hell GB could have signed Mack in 2018. Gute is trying to clean up t...

PMR column in Cutline Overall Standings
i think it would be great to show PMR in Cutline overall standings given the CUT format from week 10 on and the fact that lineups have to be set now (not optimal). We had that column in league live scoring but now there are no more cutline leagues. I am not sure how much of a tech hassle this is but...

Tom: On Rodgers - Favre relationship: I read an excerpt from "Gunslinger" (Jeff Pearlman's book on Favre coming out this month) on bleacherreport.com. It was fascinating read. I pre-ordered the book already. I think the chicken have come home to roost in Green Bay. Rodgers is no longer there to CYA ...

Re: Week 5 Thoughts & Observations
Thanks Tom. To say that Rodgers is struggling with accuracy issues is putting it mildly. With a completion pct 56% he is #31 among QBs, after finishing 25th last year. This is the guy who was battling Drew Brees for the all-time comp % crown before Jordy went down. People were surprised when he thre...

Re: Week 4 Thoughts and Observations
If you started Julio and Matt Ryan on the same team this week and lost fantasy football may not be the right hobby for you. I wonder what percentage of NFFC owners started Matt Ryan. Matty Ice was primarily drafted to be a backup QB, considering that he was outscored by about all QBs last year (on ...

Re: Week 3 Random Thoughts & Observations
Tom, thank you for this post. Like many, I look forward to your weekly thoughts and observations. Bill Belichick is the best GM in the NFL (Brady is a great player, but growing evidence seems to suggest that perhaps Belichick made him great and not the other way). However John Elway is giving Belich...

Re: Week 2 Thoughts & Observations
Tom, Mike McCarthy is a mediocre coach. He and his GM have been riding the Aaron Rodgers gravy train for almost a decade. As a fellow Packers fan, I am beyond frustrated. We can't beat a team with a QB about a week on his job and without their best player for almost half the game. Unfortunately, how...

Re: Week 1 Postseason Contest Ownership
I don't quite understand the point you guys make: If the contest allows stacking one team, then everyone will do it and the contest will lose value. I don't think so. Let me explain. First, stacking ONE team will not work. You have to stack TWO teams and that makes it harder (NFC and AFC). However, ...
