Re: Wednesday/Friday Waivers

I apologize if this has been addressed as I have been in and out of this discussion. I assume there are some people in the camp of running a full faab for all players Weds night before the Thursday game. Can I ask someone in that camp to give me the downside to running a limited faab just for player...

Re: Wednesday/Friday Waivers

Greg, Thanks for the reply. I get your point and appreciate how the NFFC is always flexible in considering the views of the players. I cannot comprehend a NFFC player setting their lineup Friday night or sat morning and then leaving it for kickoff. I would think the vast majority double and triple c...

Re: Wednesday/Friday Waivers

I asked this question already but never got an answer... and I assume there is an obvious answer. Why don't we fun the second FAAB on saturday instead of Friday? I would think the closer we run it to the Sunday kickoffs the more likely owners can be protected from something unforeseen. To me, the We...

Re: Wednesday/Friday Waivers

I love the FAAB process. I like that we get to enjoy a "mini draft/auction" every week where you have to really think about what you want to do and spend. You have to try to speculate what others might spend on a player. I am surprised to read people do not enjoy this process of picking up players d...

Question about instant replay

I have going to make a point about something I have thought for many years. I think we all can agree that instant replay is an important and necessary part of the NFL now. The league is too big, the stakes too high, people care too much and the game is just too fast for officials on the field to get...

Re: NFFC 2013: HEAD to HEAD should be DEAD

For the main events it cannot be only about the "fairest way.' If MLB were run the "fairest way" there would be two leagues (American and National) and after 162 games and as balanced a schedule as possible, the winner of each league/pennent would play the other for the World Series title. That woul...

Re: NFFC 2013: HEAD to HEAD should be DEAD

I understand this topic has been debated for a long time. I think we all can agree that an "all play" or weekly beat half the field format is the "fairest" format and is the best to identify which teams are truly the best and most deserving of rewards/prizes. However, for many people, that isn't the...

Re: Wednesday/Friday Waivers

I like it.. .Weds is the big bonanza every week and Friday allows for emergency pickups to protect team owners from foreseen things. I think I rather see the second Faab run Sat instead of Friday but it isn't a huge deal.

Re: Week 2 Thoughts & Observations

If week two shows us anything it is that NFL football is amazingly volatile. I remember in the past I would panic or be ultra excited rather quickly by fantasy football results early in the season. Now I realize so many things are going to happen, good and bad, for many weeks that it is sensible to ...

Re: Okay, How Much Time Did You Spend On Friday's FAAB?

I didn't spend much time on Friday either but that was in part because it wasn't an overly fertile group of free agents this week. I like the set up as it is now. The true "gems" will be bid on aggressively Weds evening and the Friday Faab ends up being a fail safe for teams who need emergency pick ...
