Question to those you have cashed out in the past
Gekko -- Glad to see that you still don't read messages before you respond to them. I was not asking for advice, but asking for what tax form Krause has sent winners in the past.

FI$HER's Fantasy Football Bachelor Party - VEGAS 2007
I feel left out. I am planning an alternate "Newmennium" party that same night at a great suite at the Blue Moon Resort on Westwood Drive, just a couple of blocks from the Strip.
I got a REALLY good deal on a suite and we are going to PARTY!

Question to those you have cashed out in the past
After further investigation, I am pretty certain that because these winnings are reported as "miscellaneous income" on form 1099-M as opposed to "certain gambling winnings" on form W2-G you can not deduct losses against them. This is because as far as the IRS is concerned, you won a "prize" not gamb...

Question to those you have cashed out in the past
I know that I'm getting detailed here, but was it reported in Box 3 of the 1099m or box 7? Box 3 good, box 7 bad. If it is in box 7, we would owe payroll taxes on that money. I guess they are not classified as gambling winnings because Krause Publications is not licensed to run a gambling operation....

How about having Bulger throw 4TDs and not a single one to Tory Holt?

Question to those you have cashed out in the past
For those tax-minded previous winners: Did the winnings come classified as gambling winnings or self-employed/independent contractor earnings? It makes a difference as far as being able to offset winnings with losses (if it is gambling winnings) and having to match and pay FICA if it is self-employe...

2007 NFFC Plans
My problem with defensive scoring stems mostly from defensive/special teams TDs. I would love to see these minimized or even eliminated. To me, the less predictable something is, the fewer points it should score. That's why I hate leagues that reward oddball things like safeties with an unusual amou...

I was just angling for some extra dough when it became clear that #1 was out of reach.

Late Request for a Rules Change
I've been thinking about this one for a few years now, but for some reason I've waited until today to mention it. I think that the prize money distribution for the top 4 is patently unfair. I believe that the "champion" gets an unreasonably high % of the prize money, when we all know that it is much...
