NFFC Online Championship Signup List: 516 Teams

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Thu Apr 23, 2009 2:20 am

We're proud to introduce our debut NFFC Online Championship this year, a national contest that is available to you from the comforts of your home. The setup for this overall contest is exactly the same as our 12-team NFFC Primetime main event format as we have 12-team serpentine drafts with a goal of reaching 300 teams. We will pay the top two in each league and a GUARANTEED grand prize of $1,300.

The concept is simple: Entry fee is $350 per team. We pay $1,300 to the team that finishes with the most total points and $650 to the team with the best head-to-head record (not counting the total points team, with points as the tie-breaker). Those two teams advance to the Championship Round, carry their weekly scoring average from Weeks 1-13 with them and then add that total to their scoring totals in Weeks 14, 15, and 16. The team with the most points in the Championship Round wins the $20,000 grand prize.

All drafts will be held on MockDraftCentral.com and we'll host these drafts on seven different nights and in 20 different time slots from Sept. 1-Sept. 8. You can take as many teams as you'd like, but we'll offer them at $350 each or a three-pack for $950 ($100 off). The rules state we can go up to 600 teams, with the prize money growing at the same 80 percent for every league we add beyond 25.

In baseball this year, we shot for 300 teams and eventually maxed out at 600 teams well in advance of our signup deadline. The demand for that NFBC Online Championship exceeded our own expectations and we're hopeful that this format will be a winner, too.

We also have a Combined Standings prize of $5,000 for the team with the most total points after Week 16 between the NFFC Classic main event and the NFFC Online Championship. And if any team can win the overall title in the NFFC Classic and the NFFC Online Championship, there's an additional $75,000 cash prize for that.

So now let's get to the signup page. Here's the list of the teams that have already secured a spot in our debut NFFC Online Championship. Remember that you can sign up anytime and no charge will be made until Aug. 15th at the earliest. Thanks all and good luck.

Tom Of course Champ. I'll take care of that now. Should be fun, fun, fun and there's $75,000 extra waiting if you can win this overall title and the NFFC Classic overall title (again!!!). Thanks Tom.

Hello Greg....please put me in for the Wednesday, September 9th draft at 9PM.

Please let me know if we are swiping cards now or in August. Either way is fine with me....just need the head's up.

Thanks as always,
Glenn
