NOW THAT THE MISTIQUE OF PICKING L.T. FIRST HAS OBVIOUSLY FADED, I WAS WONDERING WHO YOU GUYS THINK WILL BE THE OVERALL CONSENSUS NUMBER PICK NEXT YEAR?

THE RATE THINGS ARE GOING I THINK THAT IT WILL BE A CRAP SHOOT AT NUMBER WITH THE MOST DIFFERENT OVERALL NUMBER ONE PICKS EVER.

As of right now, I would say Gore, Barber, or Westbrook. If Westbrook bounces back the rest of the season, injuries or not, he would be my choice.

Portis will be another year older, and Peterson is a bit too erratic for me. Steven Jackson MAY make a push here, but a lot of football yet to be played.

It appears as if the LT ship may have sailed. :(

billy,
i think you nailed the top 6 of 7...but there is no way people jump on the westbrook train for the #1...just wwwwaaayyyy to injury prone. i agree no way on portis. sjax if he finished like he did 2 years ago....gore?? all those knee injuries and an anemic offense led by martz would scare me off of him......barber ...peterson...sjax...gore...tomlinson....westbrook....portis...of course subject to change without notice!!

I think I'd rather be in the back end of next year's first round where Marshall, A. Johnson, Fitz and Wayne will be appear on many a league draft board. There's much more stability there . . .

It was my first time getting the #1 pick, and ofcourse I get the watered down version of LT2...

Over the course of the great LT2 years, when the Chargers are in close to the goal line...they used to just hand the ball off to LT2 and he would walk into the endzone.

Now the Chargers and Rivers like to throw the ball there. Go figure....

Furthermore, FI$HER drafted Brett Favre this year in the NFFC classic.....We watched good ole' Brett in the Packers jersey throw the ball right at the goal line to his TE's using the play action for many years...

Now Brett freakin hands the ball off to Thomas Jones at the goal line and its like a swift kick to the nutz for me!

INTERESTING ANSWERS I KIND OF AGREE WITH BILLY ABOUT WESTBROOK.

IT IS GOING TO BE A YEAR WESTBROOK STAYS HEALTHY THE WHOLE YEAR AND HE IS GOING TO BE A STATISTICAL MONSTER.

WHO KNOWS WHEN THAT YEAR WILL BE?

I bet that the first kds choice next year will NOT be #1.

Right now I would go Westbrook but there is still a lot of football left to be played.

Wayne

keep in mind westbrook lovers that you will burning an early draft pick(rd 7,8,9) to handcuff his backup...not something i personally like to do.
