I'm sorry, but I still don't see the 49ers as any better than a .500 team.

I don't think they can beat any of the playoff teams, in either conference, and that includes the likes of The Raiders and Broncos as well.

I think they are the easiest out of them all.

NFC Championship = Cowboys @ Saints
AFC Championship = ? vs. Ravens

NFC Championship = Cowboys @ Saints
AFC Championship = ? vs. Ravens That's quite the lack of respect!

They did win on the road against a play-off team (Detroit) and potentially 2 others (Cincinnati & NY Giants)

Come on, the 49ers do not belong. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Rams beat them at home this Sunday.

As for the Cowboys, just wait and see. It sounds as if Romo is good to go, and if so they will give both the Saints and Packers fits, much less the Giants.

(I think the game could go either way FYI)

I've said all along that I can't see Alex Smith beating both Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers should it come to that. You could see last Sunday how frightened the 49ers are to trust Smith to win a game when they got the ball around the 35 against Seattle down by one point. Instead of trying to score a touchdown to give them a TD lead, they ran three straight times and turned the game over to Akers (who's their best offensive player for what it's worth). He made the FG but that type of conservative approach isn't likely to cut it against explosive offenses.

Ken, you've been drinking the Silver Star Kool-Aid too long my friend. This is TONY ROMO at QB, not TROY AIKMAN. Those days are over my friend. The Cowboys aren't running the table in the playoffs. They might not even get there. ;)

Turn to hard liquor and stop drinking the Cowboy Kool-Aid. :D

No doubt Romo's no Aikman, and he is the main reason the Boys are in this predicament come Sunday due to the gifts he gave to both the Jets and Lions earlier this year. But he has also looked really well at times, just gotta stat finishing these games.

My prediction above is heavy on the Kool-Aid - they have to get in first! But, I think they can give both the Saints and Packers a run for their money. And I am pretty sure nobody would be too thrilled to be having to go up against the Cowboys in the playoffs, they can be explosive! Whether they can do that in back to back weeks is yet to be seen though of course.

But I do think the Saints are the team to beat, and they should be healthy as well, which is a huge bonus this time of year.

Saints have solid offense, good special teams and a good enough defense. But as for health, you never know when you need to play three games in the playoffs. Having that bye in the first week is a big plus for teams to get healthy. The Packers definitely need that week off this year.

The Packers, Giants and Steelers have all proven in the last 7 years that you can win a Super Bowl title without a first round bye or home field advantage. But it's tough. If the Saints can win in the first round and go to San Francisco and maybe Green Bay and win in both spots, they will have earned the right to win another Super Bowl. That will be impressive if they can do it and like you said, I think they can. I hope not, but they are certainly good enough to do it.
