A minute is plenty of time and I have a partner that I need to agree with before picking and 1 minute is still plenty of time IMO.

Also, if there is money left over (600 teams x both events at $50 each = $30,000), have an after drafts party. Again, some finger foods, and drinks (alcohol wouldn't be a problem like it was in Chicago AFTER the drafts! :D )

total on board with you billy. i was not a happy camper with the guy running ny6 at all !! had my girl working registration in ny and went for a fortune there with room and parking not counting 75.00 buffet breakfeast which was not that good then had to ask for drink ticket and pay 9.00 a beer. just add 50.00 more and make a party out of it.

billy and gg : off the wagon was crazy. was there till 3am hehe

2) The 2 hour timeframe is perfect for me. Just enough time to grab something to eat, and time to draft again. 3 hours is a bit much IMO.

3) Can't comment on Vegas, wasn't there.

4) I too preferred the Marriott in Chicago compared to the Stephens Center. That being said, I could be back on the east coast next year, and I also wouldn’t mind seeing it moved somewhere out of NYC. Like many have said, it is fine if you are sightseeing with the family, but I am normally tied up in draft rooms all weekend. The cost is outrageous to stay and park in the city, so anything out of there would be my vote.
5) One minute between picks is perfect. Like others mentioned, just be sure those running the draft know that the clock doesn’t start until the sticker is officially on the board.
People were talking about getting cookies in NYC, but we didn’t get ANYTHING in Chicago. I know the last time I was there, the NFFC bought pizza, but we all had to chip in $13 to get pizza this time and order it on our own between DC and auction drafts on Friday (thanks to Jim Wiseheart's wife for pulling that together! ;) ) Again, charge an extra $50 per event, and have finger foods, pizza, etc. accessible with some girls working the drafts. Not sure how everyone else feels about that, but those would be my biggest recommendations.

I am in agreement with back to hotels in Chicago and have no problem with the pace of the drafts. One item that has always differed is room set ups between the WCOFF and NFFC was the space given to drafters due to much larger table set ups. I assumed that was something they could do that we couldn't because of the size of their drafts however I noted the same thing with the FFPC. The NFFC is the only event that I always feel like I am drafting in my neighbors lap. I have no idea how the guys with Co's do it.

Totally agree about the clock not starting until the stickers are on the board........
Really screwed me up one time during the Primetime.
If the facilitators follow this rule, a minute's plenty.

If we do move from NYC, I would once again request a casino location (AC would be great)....who the hell wants to go to Philly???
Don't they have enough in the WS Champs?

Lastly, I would once again like to reiterate....
Hotties & Drink Tickets!!!

By the way, I would pay another $50 as Billy suggested to make this more of a party.

I would much rather eat at a fine establishment after the drafts than some unedible casino food. And there is already plenty of eye candy everywhere you look in vegas, no need to add any more to the drafts.

2)There was 3 hrs between my drafts which if anything was too much. Personally would like less not more time between drafts, even with less time still missed most of first half of Bama-VT .

3) time between picks was perfect.

!st of all this was my 5th year in NYC.I am truely sold on the NFFC and the work that Gregg and Tom have done and the future of this business.

1.This is an EVENT for me and this year WHOLE family. This is bigger than XMAS and like NYC.The 4.5 hr drive from Cape Cod is OK and understood.I stay 50 min. away in Stamford Conn. @ LA QUINTA,which isnt the Sheraton NYC,but costs me $110 for 2 nights. The train is a $6 cab ride away and the train takes 45 minutes to Grand Central station.Thats the cheap way out,no parking,no stress and so on.....I feel NYC does the best that we can with what we have, but always feel we missed out on the ELECTRICITY of VEGAS.I've heard alot of people begging for Atlantic City and the CASINO action...I really dont feel that is fair for the East Coast die hards adding another 2.5 hours to the trip, therefore would either go on line, which would suxx,or go to Vegas....You want Casinos, which would make it an event, then FOXWOODS or MOHEGAN SUNS would be perfect...

2.The 2hrs vs. 3hrs,I felt that the PRIMETIME event was lacking something.1st of all it didnt start until 615,but fully understood the reasoning and was handled very professionally. The time clock getting stolen, therefore having a watch as the official clock was tacky..That extra hour enables you to do a little more and change gears since you are going from 14 to 12 teams. The whole draft was lacking the buzz from the Main Event and just seemed like an after thought and lets get this over and not an EVENT.

3. The stickers and clock clearly got me in the 5th round of the Main Event. When I saw the sticker posted I looked at the clock and it read 26 sec left and I addressed it,but had to RUSH that pick..I really should have passed and then picked after the next pick...BUT WHAT IF HE THEN TOOK MY PICK...

4. I really think the food issue could be solved by each city all on the same page...Since this is an EVENT and the only DOUBLEHEADER in the industry, then promote it that way!!!!! Anyone in both events should be REWARDED.....A welcome party with Buffet or sit down meal with CASH BAR or something to allow people to mingle and talk ff,but also feel that we are also getting something EXTRA for playing in both events.Last year each person who played in both paid $2800 in fees and I fully understand the #'s werent what you hoped, but you guys took the hit.

Anyways enough from me,I am a LIFER and wouldnt go anywere else and look forward to another year of battling and the quest for $100,000..

Kapefear, do all East Coast Diehards live in Massachusetts?I bet if you lived in Canada, you'd want the draft in Montreal. That's not much of a point.

Vegas was great, room rates good, facility perfect.. if thinking about leaving Flamingo: no Hilton, Riviera,Rio, or Palace Station. Think about South Point. Off the strip but lots of free shuttle busses to strip. Accommodations good, sports bar good, great viewing rooms for Sundays games.
No eye candy needed. Facilitators need to repeat pick loud and clear. Time limit perfect, starts when sticker goes up. Spectators welcome, but stay away from tables while drafting. Same for co- managers who wonder around checking on buddies drafts. Food: pastries, coffee, and water before draft. Host bar or drink tickets at break.Preferably 2 bars. Hot dogs and chips available. Back to back drafts a blast, time between good. Perhaps pizza in between drafts. NFFC will grow with its format and Greg and Toms great care about its players and how things are run. Please, please don't become anything close to the "Other Event".
