How would everyone else feel about that? Wouldn't be too happy. Especially if it were spent for an after draft party, as for years I leave directly after the draft.

[/QUOTE]What if the costs were tied in to upgrading the drafts in some way - i.e. better food or something of that nature, something all of the participants would share in as opposed to some which would be the case with an after draft party. Would you be happier about an increase in the entry fees if the result was an improved draft day experience?

Forgot to add:
Drafting the same weekend as the NFL kicks off is an absolute blast. Too many guessing games to draft a week before the NFL season kicks off. I'd much prefer to have the NFFC the same weekend as the NFL starts.

Same goes for the NFBC. I believe we currently draft TWO weeks before the season kicks off. Please change that to one week before or the best would be THE SAME WEEKEND THAT MLB STARTS!

I totally disagree with this. Keep it Labor Day weekend, as you would KILL your contest with two other high stakes venues going on that weekend.

One extra weekend early with ALL the preseason games done that Friday night....not sure where all the "guessing games" come in???

I don't want to speak for Greg or Ryan but I'd prefer to have the event before any games have been played. Starting after that one game has been played can completely skew the draft results and significantly alter your draft day preparations. Just my two cents.

To the best of my understanding the only move that occurred during the NFFC weekend that was a surprise in any way was the Bills cutting Dominic Rhodes. And he was the team's No. 3 RB (though he would have been the No. 2 for the first three games). I believe that move occurred on Friday so the Main Event participants had advance knowledge of it. Someone correct me if I'm wrong about that.

2. most drafters are already at their draft facility by Friday and may not (for whatever reason) be able to research everything that happened in the Friday night games before draft time on Saturday.
3. injuries or injury situations (W.Welker comes to mind)
4. more definitive info on how coaches are going to use players

anyways, i'm speaking from a Player's Perspective. drafting the NFL weekend would be the best for me. you may have your "Operator's hat on" in regard to my post.

Vegas was great, room rates good, facility perfect.. if thinking about leaving Flamingo: no Hilton, Riviera,Rio, or Palace Station. Think about South Point. Off the strip but lots of free shuttle busses to strip. Accommodations good, sports bar good, great viewing rooms for Sundays games.
No eye candy needed. Facilitators need to repeat pick loud and clear. Time limit perfect, starts when sticker goes up. Spectators welcome, but stay away from tables while drafting. Same for co- managers who wonder around checking on buddies drafts. Food: pastries, coffee, and water before draft. Host bar or drink tickets at break.Preferably 2 bars. Hot dogs and chips available. Back to back drafts a blast, time between good. Perhaps pizza in between drafts. NFFC will grow with its format and Greg and Toms great care about its players and how things are run. Please, please don't become anything close to the "Other Event". Ill say hell no on South Point. too many places on strip to go 5 miles down the road. Personally dont see the attraction for South Point, Hilton is so much better for veiwing games and such but i personally prefer the mid strip location.

also, NFL cut day is that Saturday, so you could draft players that end up being cut from their teams later that day.

another one: if you could get the main event rosters added by Monday/Tuesday, have a FAAB period that first week. Why wait a week?
