Fanball To Host Daily Fantasy Show On Sirius 125
We have great, great, great news to announce today that is good for Fanball, is good for the NFFC, is good for our NFFC players and is good for the entire fantasy sports industry. Man, this is exciting.
Starting June 21st, Fanball will host a DAILY three-hour fantasy sports show on Sirius 125. The show will be called Fanball's Fantasy Drive and take place from 5-8 pm ET, prime drive time. The show will be hosted by Kyle Elfrink, Ray Flowers and Charlie Wiegert and will feature three hours of fantasy content, interviews, insights and more EVERY SINGLE DAY. It will include baseball content, football, basketball, hockey, I heard even NASCAR and other sports. This is a major step forward for the industry as we take fantasy sports to the masses.
During the launch of June 21-25, we'll have a time slot set aside for the NFFC where we'll interview our past NFFC champions and top players. We definitely want our NFFC champions to be the stars on this show and the first week will be a perfect time to feature them. Look for the NFFC to have its own time slot during the week and for Tom and Kyle and hopefully Geoff to bring in NFFC players as guests to talk about content, strategies and more.
More details on Fanball's Fantasy Drive will be coming soon, but I'm glad to announce it here first because this is big, big news for our industry. Three hours of fantasy talk EVERY DAY GOING FORWARD. Wow.
Good job Fanball. Good job everyone. This is going to be fun.

Fanball To Host Daily Fantasy Show On Sirius 125
This thread must've gotten overlooked...no comments so far???
This is great news Greg. I haven't had a sirius subscription for 3 years now so this could get me back. I always enjoyed listening to Randy Cross..(forgot the name of his show) during the drive.
I wonder how this will impact signups. We have to be reaching a new audience with this show don't ya think!
Good job.

Good job. Yeah, I'm surprised this thread hasn't gotten more response too. I think it's more fun to write about bad stuff that is made up rather than good news!!
Seriously, of course this is great news. You're talking about reaching 18 million subscribers EVERY DAY for three hours a day. And we will be able to put our spin on the content, which means we can have an NFFC show as we get closer to Draft Day. It might mean we can feature some NFFC owners who might already be doing podcasts, or feature NFFC owners as guests, etc.
Again, our entire goal as you can see with eight cities and bigger payouts and more national championships is to GROW THIS SPACE. Not only for us but the whole industry. Liberty Media has opened this door for us and we're going to knock it down and create cool, unique content that will further enhance the NFFC experience and bring in new participants. This, along with our own High-Stakes magazine and exposure in four other Fanball magazines keeps us in front of fantasy players more and more. It's all part of the process.
This will be a lot of fun and it all starts June 21st. Stay tuned for more details.

Yeah I'm surprised by the lack of discussion about this. This show is not only going to provide daily fantasy coverage (a huge development in and of itself) but it will also provide exclusive NFFC (and later NFBC) content. I would think everyone involved with our events would be absolutely giddy about that. I know Greg and I both are.
We have to map things out but ideally we'd bring on our participants and talk about the upcoming events. In this instance, we'd talk NFFC plans, football in general and all that. This is not just a Fanball show but it will also be a way for our NFFC and NFBC participants to showcase their accomplishments as well.
I think this is a terrific development for the fantasy industry. It's been in the works for awhile now and we're very excited to be unveiling it on June 21.

This may be a dumb question but I have XM so I assume that I won't be able to get this on XM?

The Rotowire show on the same channel is also broadcast on XM. They are the same company now, I can't imagine that any new show like this would be exclusive to one or the other.

Wayne It's on Sirius and XM. I didn't know if it was the same channel or not, so I didn't say XM. I'll get more details and post soon.
On the NFBC boards, someone asked if it would be on iTunes or broadcast later. I'll look into all of that as well because I don't know the answers. Ryan worked on this deal for several months and just signed the contract last week. He's moving he needle on this one.

This is exciting news and good for everyone involved in the industry, not just the high stakes events.
The party that benefits the most will be the people that Greg and Tom care about the most, The Players. Increased exposure means more signups and the likelihood that commercial partnerships will be hatched. That will lead to monies being generated to increase the prize pool without an increase in players as we know that margin is small.
You guys better fasten your seat belts because the ride is going to be moving at a different pace pretty soon.
Kudos and good luck moving forward.

The Rotowire show is on XM-241. I'll bet Fanball is the same.
The live broadcast streams on-line on Sports Nation 2 on XM-226 and Sirius-811. Hopefully Ryan has also arranged something similar.
