Glenn, in the last two drafts I've taken Tony Gonzalez as my second "pass catcher". I know that makes my WRs look weaker and it should since I've gambled that he will put up WR2 numbers. It's a risky move but I think the young QB will rely on him a lot this year.

We'll see how it plays out. But thanks for coming through for me. I said last night in the chat that you'd be the first to critique my wideouts and you were. :D I knew you wouldn't let me down.

Some general comments:

1. WRs were the target. Most of us were going after the top WRs and were prepared to pay to get them. I think that's a trend we're going to see in all drafts/auctions this year. This year really has become the year of the receiver in fantasy leagues.

2. Because of No. 1, RBs went cheaper than ever before. When you're getting proven, talented RBs for $40 or less you know the prices are pretty good for this position. Will this trend hold in auctions? I think it might.

3. QBs went pretty much as expected. Brady over Brees was a surprise but generally the top QBs went for what was expected and then the lower-tier guys went in the $5-$8 range. This may be the one position you can really lock in on before an auction in terms of estimating how much you want to spend.

4. Nobody would let me get a kicker for $1. OK, this is a personal thing. I brought up three kickers for $1 and somebody bid $2 every time. C'mon guys, they're kickers. :D

Slaton went for more than I expected.

I was happy getting Romo $20, Forte $48, and Fitz $43. My mistake was nabbing Cutler for $14. He's a nice backup, but others in the same tier went for less.

We'll see...
2008- Didn't finish last overall in the Classic.
2009- Didn't finish last overall in the Classic or Primetime.

Russ,

I agree the QB's are a little weak, but have you seen KC Defense, they are horrible and Delhomme should be ok as long as he's healthy.
I tried for a top QB, but the prices were too high for me.

Don, I think your team is very strong. Jack Haan's and Tom's also look good. Good job. I agree the ESPN site was good (other than the few quirks previously mentioned). The biggest surprise to me was quarterbacks 9-11 going for $17-$20 range. I didn't expect that, so like you, I had settle for a lower tier starter. A lot of big spending early led to some very, very nice RB bargains late. Good draft everyone.

14. Matt Hasselbeck $8 It seemed like the QB's went for MUCH more than they have in the past. Normally you see 4 or 5 go for $20 or more, this draft there were 10!

I'll be curious to see if this sticks.

I really missed being a part of this draft, this year. Especially since I lost last year's superbowl by around 4 poins or less.

But my prediction was right about Brady...I said $31...He went for $34...Surprising to see him as the most expensive QB when there are 2 other QB's that have much less risk when it comes to health. Just my opinion.
