i was one of those guys... painful seeing holmes score with ease and tomlinson struggle to gain a yard. it is a long season and the tide can change in fantasy football very fast. but right now i am not feeling too good with me having a very solid team. a team that would be incredible with holmes current production... ugh

yes they can... goes to show how hard it is to predict in this game. holmes was older, had shown more nagging injury problems. LT had not even been hurt. holmes was talking retirement in the offseason...
if i had taken holmes rather then LT.. i think i would be very near the top of the overall standings now...lol

Forget the injuries, how you can justify taking a guy who scored 15 TD's in what was considered to be a "bad" offense at the beginning of the season over a guy who scored 26 TD's in a great offense is beyond my comprehension.

allow me to explain... holmes is over 30, which normally (almost always) means a downturn for RB's. he was talking about retirement prior to this season which would make one question his offseason committment and fire. the chiefs had major injuries at the WR position pre-season which would lead one to believe defenses could key on holmes and the running game. the chiefs have a #1 draft pick sitting behind holmes, that would make you think the team would want to work him in, and prior to the season there was no way to know he (johnson)would **** off his coach. holmes had a few nagging injuries the previous season and he was 2 seasons removed from a serious hip injury... and for the first time the chiefs had some movement on their offensive line in the offseason which might have effected the cohesion on that line.
tomlinson had not ever been injured. had improved his numbers every year in the league. is younger and is the focal point of the entire offense both running AND passing. touchdowns are often lucky and hard to measure and can be related to WR's being tackled on the goaline. the schedule was ripe for good rushing opportunities for tomlinson. and with me having the #1 pick and not picking again until #28 i knew my entire season would be tied to this first pick. so i took the "safer" pick in tomlinson knowing he also had a huge upside. as opposed to the slightly more explosive pick in holmes who had more risk...
i do not think it was a bad move and if tomlinsons groin had not been hurt i think it still might have been the better move...
