TIMEOUT SAN DIEGO!

Post by Diesel » Mon Jan 15, 2007 1:27 am

I had a 2 team parlay this weekend. Eagles +5.5, and San Diego -5.

I DEFINITELY have a few grey hairs from this weekend's games. :D

Eric Parker is 95% of the reason why San Diego is out of the playoff run right now. If I were the coach, I'd cut him before next season. If you can't count on a player in crunch time, what good is he?

The other 5% why San Diego lost that game was that defensive player when he picked off Brady on FOURTH DOWN. He should have sat on it, but his adrenaline was pumped and tried to gain some yardage. Troy Brown has more games in the playoffs than some guys have games in the NFL, and he showed his experience by stripping that ball, 3 seconds after it was intercepted.

I hadn't bet an NFL game for a few years. I want to thank Troy Brown and Eric Parker for reminding me why I stopped in the first place.

I usually like Nantz and Simms. But they missed this one. They mentioned CB Marlon McCree numerous times during the telecast. They even stated that the defensive players on SD didn't like him at first because he came in and was a "know it all". Then the players realized that he actually knew what he was talking about and he became a defensive leader on the team. Nantz and Simms Then stated that McCree wanted to become a coach and maybe even a head coach in the NFL. After the botched INT, neither announcer stated the obvious, what we all know on these MB's. They just let it slide like all announcers do. That was the biggest PLAY of the DAMN GAME and they missed it.
I had NE +4 by the way.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and Happy MLK Day.

Ditka hasn't said anything worth listening to since he stopped coaching the Chicago Bears.

I'm not the only one that is still in shock that the Chargers lost yesterday...If you look at the player news on the NFFC homepage, it says:

"Jabar Gaffney, WR (NE) -- 1/15 11:22AM CT - Gaffney caught 10 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 24-21 playoff loss to New England."

Gaffney plays for NE...Yet this news refers to SD's loss in Gaffney's stats, instead of referring to NE's win.

Do I sound bitter today? :D

Gotta think his TRUE loyalties lie with the Bears.

How long was he even in New Orleans? A couple years?
