Now at 5.14 Who would YOU draft at this spot?

Okay, the room correctly selects Wayne at 1.13 so the first round has gone:
1.01 Adrian Peterson
1.02 Maurice Jones-Drew
1.03 Matt Forte
1.04 Michael Turner
1.05 Chris Johnson
1.06 Steven Jackson
1.07 Larry Fitzgerald
1.08 Andre Johnson
1.09 LaDainian Tomlinson
1.10 Steve Slaton
1.11 Randy Moss
1.12 Calvin Johnson
1.13 Reggie Wayne
1.14 OTC

2.01 OTC as well

and NOW YOU are the drafter at 1.14 with two picks - WHO would YOU pick if you were in this spot in the draft? choices are

Brian Westbrook
Frank Gore
DeAngelo Williams
Clinton Portis
Steve Smith
Marion Barber
Brandon Jacobs
Roddy White
Anquan Boldin
Greg Jennings

PICK 2 (and of course you can give your reasons, strategy, thoughts as well)

This is really interesting - seems to me if you had a strategy going in you have the options to do whatever that was.....BUT if you thought you were going WR/WR to start the draft, it likely didn't include a pair of Smiff and White or Boldin (or Jennings etc)......the Value at this point in the draft is at RB.....the particulars of which two or one of each is different for each of us.....Yes, Westy could be terrific value and certainly if you would have drafted him earlier you take him...the point is IF you had the fourteenth pick NOW what do YOU do....

Interesting....and some of us WILL face this...

Here and now, I am taking Gore and S. Smith.....how about YOU???

For me, based on what has happened thus far in the draft, I am going RB/RB. If I take a Steve Smith, he has to be rated by me in the tier that includes some of the WRs already taken. Otherwise, I have just "paid off" those that went WR early and are now leaving one more top RB for them to scoop up when their second rd. pick rolls around.

So, my picks are Westy/DWilli.

Yes, I get an early 3rd, so likely WR and then BPA from then on.

One other consideration here is that if the draft gets to me and I have WRs rated high enough, I could go WR/WR which would give me an edge at WR2 over the others, while knowing that there is so much RB depth, I can get a RB1 in the 3rd rd. and then fill in the gaps with BPA from there.

Ok, too much thought for 3:15AM.

Put me down for Gore/Steve Smith. WRs are definitely flying off the board but there are still three studs I like a lot left in Smith, Jennings and White. I'll take one of them and a top RB in Gore. That's a nice combo to start the draft.
