Sadly ... no matter how bad you are ... you can still make enough points to win $2500 or $100,000.00 even if your 0-4.
I would love to have those guys in my league.
Too bad we couldn't have the computer set every lineup on Tuesday based on some services predictions on weekly productivity ... sure people could still personally mess the team up after Tuesday ... but it would at least counter for someone quitting, eliminate bye players and reduce the likely hood of injured players in the lineup.

Big Mike,
I would like to see something in place where guys can't play Bye Week players and leave points on there bench. Lets start there.
It just doesn't look right. And to think about all the guys who end up losing there leagues by this.
For the NFL it's a 17 week season. For us in the NFFC it's a 13 week season. Tough to make up ground In H2H ,Even tougher and more frustrating when a guy gives up on his team and makes it even harder for you.

It will put in live players (at least live on Tuesday and not guy's on bye). At least quitter teams would play a full roster. The other thing you could do is ... if you team has had no activity for the week ... set the team up at 3:00 Am Sunday morning ... again ... get rid of most of the bye week and injured players.
It already sets up a default roster for you every week (last weeks) ... why not improve the system to eliminate the lay downs?

Big Mike,
On the injuries part, Do you mean even on game time decision guys????? Or guys out more then a week or you know there going to be out for a while???
I also liked your Free agent idea where you would get the guy for only a dollar more. Boy would that save me alot of dough. Would be cool to if we could auction on the free agents, See the bid all week long and do a real ebay style then run like a max bid on friday for the guys who are not on the computer alot. That would be my dream Pick up's

Most problems like this occur in haste near deadlines when an owner has many, many teams to manage.
I see it all the time here and in mine. For the record, this owner has 13 teams with me, 9 of which needed bye moves, and all of which were made correctly, and has never been a problem or given up in any league in 15 years.
Also, the debate here is Hunt for a RB. Wayne for a RB is not possible here. Wayne for Berrian? We've all seen worse.
The players listed on your bench are not listed by position. This owner has WR's at the top and bottom of their bench and a hurried glance could be the culprit here. Stats should not be listing bench players by where you played them last, meaning flex players go to the bottom, and WR's get listed above TE, K, Def. All WR's on your bench should be listed together.

GREG if you are out there we need a ruling here on benching Reggie Wayne.............. Just for clarification: At no point will the NFFC intercede and set starting lineups. That is up to each owner to take care of. It would be a legal nightmare if we ever did that.
The league format is set up where we reward total points and h2h records and everyone has a chance to win their league and the $5,000 by scoring the most points. Score the most points during the regular season and in your league championship round and everything will work out fine. Good luck all as I understand your frustration, but as John said, we don't know each owner's personal situation and it's possible something came up that forced certain owners to miss out on lineup changes this week.

On Tuesday ... some service projects points for the coming week. Guys that are off or out will be projected at zero. Instead of starting the current week with last weeks roster ... you would start with a roster of best players ranked by a service. It really doesn't matter who is in to start the week if you are managing your team as you can do any changes you want.
It would just keep non managed teams from throwing up zeros as they would start the week with the best projected players (according to some service) at each position. Keep in mind that late injuries would still take zeros ... but at least it would eliminate a lions share of bye and injured players zeros on these orphan teams. It also might be helpful to people managing 10 teams to make the initial bye week substitutions in and out to save time.

John- just tell this person to write me a check for 1250 next year instead of the NFFC.
Who in there right mind would sit Reggie Wayne for any WR on the vikings. Hes one of the top WRs in the game week in and week out. For such an experienced fantasy player as you say, a rookie move like that should not be tolerated! The fact that Boogie has not even come out and offered an apology or statement makes me also question this person's character.

Maybe this owner has never even been on these MB's. (I am willing to wager on this). Why not just e-mail this owner and calmly ask them why? I question your character by wanting a public hanging without all the facts. Owners make human mistakes all the time when in a hurry. I know this owner runs several dozen teams is many contests, and I'm willing to wager $500 that's the problem. Just flat out missed it. I see it all the time. It happens to about 1% of all teams in any event EVERY WEEK. Even the best of owners.
Do you guys ever stop to think about things like this, or do you just assume the worst case all the time thinking and the world is out to get you?
