A good compromise might be week 1 and week 11 (first week after the BYE weeks). This way it's not all bunched up together. I prefer weeks 1 and 2 as well. Any top 2 or 3 team should not have an issue being in the top 6 scorers, even though it has been happening in a few instances. It is asking a lot though to expect a bottom 6 score of a top team.
In the NBC, I am 9-3 with a 131 point lead on the 10-2 team, so I am a LOT biased.

Greg,
Would it be possible to do an all play the last 2 weeks with fractional wins? There have been a lot of comments on here about having all play leagues and this would add that component to the NBC.
Also, this had been brought up before, but I would offer the NBC league at a different price point next year. There might be people out there wanting to compete for say $50,000 I would pay maybe $700 but won't go all of the way to the $1,300. This would also help in that your 2 leagues won't be competing against each other so much. Just a thought.

In Leroy's scenario where he is ahead in points but does not win based on record, he can still win $5K, correct? If one wins record and one wins points, determination of who gets $5K vs. $2K is based on week 14-16 points, correct?

My complaint (not that is really is one) is that I have virtually no chance to make up the game this week and take down the $5K without a 3 week playoff. I feel confident in winning, but anything can happen, even over 3 weeks. Nice points BTW, Soup.

A good compromise might be week 1 and week 11 (first week after the BYE weeks). This way it's not all bunched up together. If in week 13 the choice is between two teams in contention playing: a) the same all-play schedule, or b) one team playing another contender while another gets to play a dead team, it obviously is much fairer for those late games to be all-play. Early in the season everyone is submitting their best line-up and trying to improve with free agents, not true late in the season. Keep all-play at season's end.

[/QUOTE]Conversely, if in week 13, you are a game behind, you have zero chance to improve in most cases because all the team ahead of you has to do is finish top 6 in points. Dead teams are going to exist and if everyone knows the rules and plays with the same schedule in mind, then that is fair.
Maybe some of the dead teams wouldn't be dead if they started out 2-0 instead of 0-2 because they were the second high scorer each week and lost to the highest scorer due to scheduling bias.

2008- Didn't finish last overall in the Classic.
2009- Didn't finish last overall in the Classic or Primetime.

Greg - assuming the NFL schedule for 2009 looks similar to this year and last - what about running the two all-play weeks in the two weeks where there are six teams on bye?
This would help level the playing field for those two weeks and would not have them either at the beginning or end when all teams are at full strength when the emphasis should be on winning your game against a league opponent.
