Tell me why R Mathews is going in the second round?? Hes going to miss the first month of the season and probably come back with some rust the first couple a games. Hardly worth a 2nd rounder. San Diego's offensive line is in shambles also. Thats a real head scratcher to me. Matt Ryan has gone way up the charts.

Nowhere have I heard that Mathews is missing the first month therefore not back until October. Mendenhall maybe.

Beat writer for SD Tribune said Matthews won't be back until week 3. Yes he's just a beat writer but Arce very reliable.

A sports Doctor familiar with that injury said the average time is 8.8 weeks for it to heal. That time table woud keep Mathews out the first 4 games. This was reported on NFL.com.
