Re: Second Magazine Draft Monday July 7 8 pm ET
My team from the 12 slot
1.12 JJones (WR6 OTB)...one of the best last year before the injury, hopefully he returns to form
2.1 MBall (RB6 OTB)...I took him solely for his situation in Denver. If he starts all year, he should be very solid
3.1 JThomas (TE2 OTB)...I was going to take one of the top 3 QBS here, but they went in the first 20 picks. Taking Thomas here gave me flexibility for the next few rounds with a RB,WR,TE start.
4.12 RJennings (RB20 OTB)...if he gets as many touches as they are saying, he's a viable RB2
5.1 ALuck (QB4 OTB)...when I didn't get one of the top 3, I hoped Luck or Stafford would be available at this turn. I have them a little better than the next group and I didn't want to chance any kind of a run. I just drafted one QB knowing I'm going to start Luck every game. His Bye week is 10, so I have time to get a replacement.
6.12 JMaclin (WR30 OTB)...needed to get a couple WRs, felt like he was best available
7.1 MColston (WR31 OTB)...DITTO
8.12 BPierce (RB37 OTB)...not a huge fan, but if healthy and Rice out for a few games, he could be a good BYE week fill in for Ball's Bye week 4
9.1 BCooks (WR40 OTB)...I want Stills or Cooks here (Stills went a few picks earlier). Saints traded up to get this guy and I have oft injured Colston.
10.12 DFreeman (RB41 OTB)...he's a SJax injury away from starting
11.1 JHill (RB41 OTB)...he could vulture TD's from Gio. if it plays out right, could even put Gio as the 3rd down back.
12.12 AWilliams (RB50 OTB)...took a chance as the backup if Jennings gets hurt or falters
13.1 KBritt (WR62 OTB)...we all know he has the talent, it's the other stuff
14.12 Carolina (DST5 OTB)...this is earlier than I would normally take a D, they were the 5th OTB and they should be solid again, plus I like the Bye week 12. In H2H leagues, if I can get a good D, I like late Bye weeks so I don't have to fool with dropping anybody early in the season to pick up a D.
15.1 JTucker (PK3 OTB)...Ditto, his Bye week is 11 and keep D's and K's on different Bye weeks
16.12 BLafell (WR71 OTB)...I'm still not sure this guy isn't going to start. Any NE starting WR is viable
17.1 JAmaro (TE23 OTB)...I'm sure I'll be starting Julius every game, but I needed a Bye week player with a little upside
18.12 AHolmes (WR79 OTB)...arguably Oaklands best WR last year at seasons end
19.1 StormJohnson (RB71 OTB)...probably Gerhart's best backup, but probably my first drop
20.12 TKelce (TE29 OTB)...I really liked this guy out of college. Injury setback last year, but has the skills to be productive in Bye week or injury situations. Hopefully between he and Amaro, I have a decent backup TE to Julius.
Here's the team;

RB3 = Chris Ivorykeztoo wrote:Floyd in the 3rd round?
WR1 = Michael Floyd
TE1 = Antonio Gates
and didn't get a Top 3 QB
Not sure I'm a fan of this team at all.
Re: Second Magazine Draft Monday July 7 8 pm ET
12 team league and biggest hole is RB3. Strength of draft is RB1 and RB2. Not a problem. Roddy White consistent WR with 3 upside WRs in Michael Floyd, Torry Smith, and Mike Wallace. Starting TE is Charles Clay with Gates as back up and Green as upside. Nick Foles had a pretty good last year (Finished 3rd in Fantasy points per game) and Carson Palmer has some talent to throw to in Floyd, Fitz, and Ellington. WR5 Tate when I started with 2 RBs.

Greg and I did the rankings (unless they were changed after we submitted them). Not sure if John was doing the projections again.THEICON wrote:John hansan doing the rankings again?
