Adrian Peterson was dropped in two more Online Championship leagues on Friday and will be removed from those leagues this weekend. For the week, AP was dropped in 6 of 182 Online Championship leagues and two Satellite Leagues. He was removed from each of them and won't be reinstated into the free agent pool at any time. Good luck all this weekend.

Just curious, did you consider removing Gordon from the player pool? Not the same situation of course, but I'm struggling to see how the potential impact can be so different when reading all the arguments from those that think it was a good move. Certainly the idea that you could be going for the big prize and face an owner who luckily (stupidly?) spent his entire FA bank on Gordon can end up the same.

So as an AP owner on both of my teams I have a question. I saw something about fantasy insurance to where you get a partial reimbursement if I player misses so many games. I'm in the online challenge and say ap is held out the whole entire year would that qualify and if so how do you sign up for that? Funny thing is I'm 3-0 on one of the teams and the other im 0-3.

No, the Fantasy Sports Insurance clearly says a player must miss 9 games to injury.

Just checking the rules. Didn't know if his circumstances would apply to that or not since a season long suspension seems likely.

He is going to be cut in every league at some point, he's probably worthless. And yet he gets taken out of the pool ... just doesn't make any sense to me.

Kj - Don't understand - What doesn't make sense?

If he's worthless - Why do you care?

Chicken / Egg thinking - The rules are clear - They are not inventing them as they go along - They have the right to do this

Remember, the dude was a first round pick - He goes on National TV and cries for 10 minutes about how his daddy hit him - gains public sympathy - trots the kid (victim) - out with a big smile on his face - The second set of allegations pan out to be BS - Remember also, NFL has not "suspended" / "Banned" him - They can change his status at any time - The risk is to the current owner to keep or drop their first round pick - as well it should be - Worthless now - But he's still a first round pick - I applaud the move - For the record, I wouldn't drop him -

Harping on "first round pick" is like worrying about sunk cost as an investor. It leads to poor decision-making.

If all of this happened before the draft he goes in Josh Gordon territory at best, which could be anywhere from a mid single-digit round to a late teen round. His first round investment is a sunk cost, let it go already!

Why do I care? Because if I am doing the dropping, part of the value of dropping a big name player that I don't think will contribute is that someone else will burn a whole lot of FAAB on him, leaving me better odds of replacing him ... so I recover some of the value I lost by drafting him in the first place. Removing him upsets the balance of the league.

I don't own him in any NFFC leagues, but the next time a situation like this comes up it could affect me and I don't like the precedent.

Additionally, as a game operator ... now you're boxed in. You're forced to remove him in every league even though his value is looking more and more questionable each week. So when do you allow him to be bid on, when it's 70% unlikely he will return for the year, 80%, 85%, 90% ??? As the probability changes, his market value changes ... as some point you are protecting the world's greatest longshot from being acquired, and all the while allowing newly-minted starting RBs like Donald Brown and Taliaferro to be acquired anywhere and everywhere. That makes no sense. So now you'll be faced with two choices, (1) speculating that his value has fallen far enough to let him be bid upon, or (2) just digging in your heels and saying he won't be allowed back even though he is, even by consensus, virtually worthless.

KJ - You are missing the entire point of why they have this rule - "Collusion" - Team A contacts Team B - Team A has AP - He knows Team B has a great team, He knows AP is coming back, he knows Team B has more $$ than anyone else in the league - He tells Team B "I'll drop AP, you pick him up, If you win the league we split proceeds....."

If you think the above is unlikely, then as a game operator you don't know your client base....

I'm not smart enough to know what "Sunk Cost" is.... Sorry about that - No clue what you mean - AP is a first round draft pick - and if he's dropped, he should be excluded from the pool - Period
