Anybody Up For A Chat Today?

If you are, I'm game. Plenty to talk about as we head into Week 5, that's for sure. So if you guys feel like chatting don't be shy. Lord knows I won't be.

Tom, will you finally admit that you were wrong about Clinton Portis, or do you still hold out hope for him?

He's on pace for a 1,400-yard rushing season. Last season only six RBs rushed for more yards than Portis is on pace to get. So I'll keep defending him if he continues to be one of the best RBs in the NFL. What's killing him from a fantasy perspective is the lack of TDs.

For what it's worth, you might be interested in my thoughts about Portis' matchup this week at Denver. You can find them at www.fantasysportsmag.com

Tom, I hope you realize that I'm only kidding you about Clinton Portis. I had him in a local league last year and his lack of scoring absolutely destroyed me. As I am sure you know, once you own a fantasy player that disappoints you (Michael Vick and Kevan Barlow are two other excellent examples), you tend to stay FAR away from them in subsequent years.

The new website design looks great, but (and thank you for reminding me) I still need a user name and password. I don't have my latest FSM handy, so not sure how to go about setting this up. What's the best way to get this?

Send me an e-mail and I'll get you hooked up.

I really like Portis; I just wish he could get back to an offense that suits him. The fact he's putting up the numbers he does despite the fact he still isn't being used properly speaks volumes about his talent.

Dude's good.

Tom, do you think JP Losman is benched for the season or just for the week?

Tom,

in a "home" league outside the NFFC... I need to fill a wr and flex position out of:

TJ Housh... (but he's questionable)
L. Coles
A. Johnson
Roy Williams
R. Fergsuon
C. Perry

what would you recommend.... (I already have C. Johnson starting at my other wr & S. Davis starting at my other flex) I get 1 pt for rec for both wr & rb.... and td's (6) & yards (.05)points are the same for both too...
2006 Draft:
RB
Edge, Dunn, Duckett, M. Anderson, R. Moats, D. Davis
WR
Roy Williams, J. Walker D. Jackson, Troy Williamson, R. Ferguson, P. Price, Si. Moss
QB
A. Brooks, D. Brees
J. Stevens TE
L. Tynes K
NE Def

He was on the NFL Network the other night and said the injury wasn't a big deal. We'll see. But -- and I realize this guy has been an absolute dog so far -- I'd go with Andre Johnson. If he's ever going to get it done this could be the week it happens because the Titans are awful. I'd give Johnson the shot this week.

I feel the same way about joey harrinton...

IF HE ONLY THREW FOR MORE YARDS AND TOUCH DOWNS HE'D BE A GREAT FANTASY PLAYER.

AND THE "ON PACE" I LOVE TO PLAY THAT GAME ALSO.

ON PACE:

TRENT DILFER IS "ON PACE" FOR 4,384 YARDS
STEVEN DAVIS IS "ON PACE" FOR 24 TOUCH DOWNS(LOOK OUT PRIEST HOLMES)
K. MCCARDEL IS ON PACE FOR 20 TOUCHDOWNS( LOOK OUT JERRY RICE)
currently is- The Next Big Thing, not to be confused with the "Next Big Ding"...One is my Fantasy Team the other is my porno film.
