FAAB Pickups before Season
FAAB Pickups before Season
Some managers may be in a pickle due to injury, etc. Based on offseason, there are players that managers want to try to pickup because of need or speculation. Is there a reason why managers do not have a one FAAB try before the season opener?

The reason is that we allow drafts through the Thursday game and right through Saturday, Sept. 12th. There isn't a time when we could have all of the contests fairly run FAAB in Week 1.FantasyJC wrote:Some managers may be in a pickle due to injury, etc. Based on offseason, there are players that managers want to try to pickup because of need or speculation. We encourage owners to back up their kicker if they are drafting early. Same can be said for tight end. It's too risky to go into the season with just one kicker as Shaun Suisham owners know now. I'm not saying there is a strategy to competing in a contest where FAAB begins in Week 2, but you have to assemble your roster with enough backups (and you do have 10 reserve spots) to cover for any event that can happen between now and Week 1's games.
Hope that helps.
