Here's The Plans For Las Vegas NFFC Live Drafts

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Tue Aug 18, 2015 6:33 pm

Well, two weeks from tomorrow I'm flying to Las Vegas to get a head start on the First Weekend drafts at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. We have everything set at the Bellagio, so let's get the details out there for everyone to see. Plan ahead and it should be a great, great time.

Okay, if you are staying at the Bellagio on either weekend, please request a room in the Spa Tower. It will save you plenty of wear and tear on your legs. The Raphael and DaVinci Ballrooms that we are in are right around the corner from the Spa Tower. I'm definitely staying there. Plus, our Thursday Night NFL Viewing Party is in that tower, so you'll have easy access to that elevator and can join us easily. Remember: SPA TOWER.

The Raphael and DaVinci ballrooms are all the way at the end of the Bellagio Convention Center, but they really are the best ballrooms for our drafts. The view of the pool outside of the DaVinci ballrooms is great and these ballrooms have the big screens that come down from the ceilings. We can really work with the lighting there to make the viewing of the draft boards very easy on your eyes. If you come down from the casino or sportsbook, walk past the Business Center and past the Wedding Chapel until you get to the end of the Convention Center. The Raphael and DaVinci ballrooms are at the end on the left side.

Okay, let's look at the Schedule of Events and the scheduled ballrooms for each event:

Las Vegas Weekend 1
Friday, Sept. 4:
Raphael 1: 11 am Auction (12 teams)
Raphael 2: 11 am Draft Champions (12 teams)
Raphael 1: 4 pm Auction (12 teams)
Raphael 2: 4 pm Draft Champions (12 teams)

Saturday, Sept. 5:
Raphael 1: Classic 10 am (14 teams)
Raphael 2: Classic 10 am (14 teams)
Raphael 1: Primetime 2 pm (12 teams)
Raphael 2: Primetime 2 pm (12 teams)
Raphael 3: Primetime 2 pm (may not need this, but I'll know soon)

Las Vegas Weekend 2
Thursday, Sept. 10:
Raphael 1: Classic 10 am
Raphael 2: Primetime 9 am

Friday, Sept. 11:
DaVinci 1: Primetime 9 am (12 teams)
DaVinci 2: Diamond 10 am (12 teams)
DaVinci 3: Auction 10 am (12 teams)
DaVinci 4: Classic 10 am (14 teams)
DaVinci 1: Primetime 6 pm (12 teams)
DaVinci 2: Ultimate 2 pm (12 teams)
DaVinci 3: Auction 6 pm (12 teams)
DaVinci 4: Classic 2 pm (14 teams)

Saturday, Sept. 12:
DaVinci 1: Primetime 10 am (12 teams)
DaVinci 2: Primetime 10 am (12 teams)
DaVinci 3: Primetime 10 am (12 Teams
DaVinci 1: Primetime 2 pm (12 teams)
DaVinci 2: Primetime 2 pm (12 teams)
DaVinci 3: Classic 2 pm (14 teams)
DaVinci 1: Platinum 6:30 pm (12 teams)

If we add more events we'll update this list, but this gives you a good start to your planning. If you have any questions at all, please contact me at [email protected].

We do not have a room block at the Bellagio because we just don't take enough rooms to get a good discount rate. My sales official says the cheapest price is to be an MLife member. If you aren't a member already, just go to mlife.com and sign up for free. Then you'll have the best available rates for the Bellagio. Hope that helps.

There you go folks. Now we're off to a good start. Good luck with travel plans and getting rooms with the Pacquio fight that Second Weekend.

All,
Just a heads up, MLife discount is based on level. I have the highest (unless you are a billionaire) and the discount shows me these rates (something for you to compare to what you are seeing):

Bellagio (Sep 3 - 7):
Premier Fountain View - Sep 3 = $175, Sep 4 = $187, Sep 5 = $397, Sep 6 = $202 all before resort fee of $32 and taxes
Bellagio Suite - Sep 3 = $244, Sep 4 = $359, Sep 5 = $531, Sep 6 = $277 all before resort fee of $32 and taxes
Penthouse Suite (if you're gonna do vegas...) - Sep 3 = $328, Sep 4 = $471, Sep 5 = $644, Sep 6 = $366 all before resort fee of $32 and taxes

Bellagio (Sep 10 - 14): All are more expensive, at least 20-30% on some nights.
example - Premier Fountain View - Sep 10 = $328, Sep 11 = $300, Sep 12 = $374, Sep 13 = $216 all before resort fee of $32 and taxes

Recommend you don't wait...see you in vegas!

I hope not, especially since it's filled the last few years. Surprised it doesn't have more sign ups at this point though. A good auction is many times more fun than a draft.

No, it's the one that needs the most work, but we're going to do all we can to pull this off. I have a couple of ideas. Hang tight.

I'm emailing this out to the Las Vegas Auction and Draft Champions owners, so what the heck, I'll also post it here:

I'm flying to Las Vegas tomorrow, so I might be out of touch for a bit. But I wanted to send this email in advance so that we all know when we're meeting this weekend and where we're meeting. Here's the quick overview:

Friday, Sept. 4th:
11 am 12-Team Auction - Raphael 1 Ballroom.
4 pm 12-Team Auction - Raphael 1 Ballroom

The Draft Champions Leagues start at Noon PT and 4 pm PT as hookups with Chicago. Both of those drafts are in Raphael 2.

If you are staying in the Spa Towers at the Bellagio, Raphael 2 is right around the corner, behind the DaVinci Ballrooms.

If you come in through the casino, walk all the way through the Convention Center, past the Wedding Chapel, past the Business Center and to the very end. The Raphael ballrooms are in the back to the left, behind the DaVinci Ballrooms.

We have lunch planned for 2 pm PT and dinner at 6 pm PT. My cell is 715-254-5553 if you need me for anything. Brady Tinker will be the auctioneer for both auctions, so it should be a lot of fun. Please be a little early so that we can get these auctions started on time and moving. Thanks all.

The Saturday Classic and Primetime are also in Raphael 1 and 2.

Safe travels everyone and I'll see you on Friday. Thanks.
