Wow I just read the article...very suspicious and alarming! Also very messed fanduel would allow multiple entries in a single entry tournament...they have alot of explaining to do!

I did a little random research on our friend Ethan Haskell. The guy is like any other high roller DFS player. He plays hundreds of entries in the hopes of scoring big. Unlike a lot of DFS high rollers, he typically enters a bunch of different lineups, where many high rollers will enter one lineup and enter it many times.

In the million dollar contest, in which he won $350,000, I took about an hour and went through about 10,000 of 230,000 entries in this contest.

Ethan won at the following place positions:

2nd place - $350,000
427th place - $400
1158th place - $150
1344th place - $150
1583rd place - $100
1786th place - $100

BUT!!!!! Remember, I only went through about 10,000 entries and of the ones I went through, he also finished:

90,926th
92,495th
94,950th
95,296th
97,563rd
98,152nd
122,540th
158,082th

All paying nothing. So, doing some simple math, he probably entered this contest with anywhere from 150-300 entries. His favorite player, that he had on many of his rosters was Adrian Peterson, owned on 18.6% of teams. Doesnt seem like he is much of an insider player.. In my opinion, he is a high roller. He wins a lot. He loses a lot more. In my opinion, he probably is winning money, due to his big win, but I dont believe he is someone who had more information than anyone else.

I will do some more research on his other wins, but I am sure I will come up with the same analysis.

In addition, the question regarding the "single entry" tournaments, these were mislabeled. The Cover 2 and the Safety Tournaments were never single entry. FanDuel addressed it (scroll down) on that twitter page.

Not surprising NY Attorney General launches probe into DFS companies: NY has very strong consumer protection laws.

Not sure what to make of this. If these companies do not reveal percentages to employees, we're good. Not sure why employees need to be able to see that that info before anyone else can anyhow.

Realistically, most major players can probably determine the owned percentage without the inside info. I heard a Sirius XM show project owned percentages on Saturday night and they were fairly accurate.

My concern is the same as Erok. I just pray that this DFS insider trading basically, doesn't take the whole ship of fantasy football with it. I really don't see regulators who barely are aware how science works. To see a big difference between DFS and season long, when they write the legislation for it.

I kept reading in some of the articles the FSTA is working with the DFS sites to come up with some policies etc.

Greg I know you are a board member on the FSTA, with the CEOs of Draft Kings (Jason Robins) and FanDuel (Nigel Eccles).

What/if any discussions have been had with the DFS mgmt regarding this?

Anything you guys can do to make sure they don't drag season long down with them?

1. It wouldn't surprise me if employees are using non-public information for their own benefit
2. It wouldn't surprise me if teams were added after the deadline
3. It wouldn't surprise me if there are "house teams" when overlay exists. The site pays for the team through a "dummy owner" and the profits are split between the site and "dummy owner"

2. This one, I doubt. You are able to see the number of teams that are competing at all times.
3. Absolutely right. I've thought this from the minute I found out about DFS. I'll bet you that half of the teams in these events, are computer teams and have nothing to do with a human being.

Here we go, big government to the rescue yet again
Let the free market rule just for once. If the games are unfair (and there's every indication that they are), the people will figure it out soon enough, and will stop playing.
