Why do the rules say 3 RBs and 1 flex on the other page ?

4. Starting Lineup Requirements
Starting lineups will consist of:

2 Quarterbacks
3 Running Backs
4 Receivers (includes Tight Ends)
1 Flex (RB, WR or TE)
1 Kicker
1 Team Defense/Specials Team
In the Super Bowl, rosters can consist of 8 players from any of those 12 spots.
5. Scoring
2023 NFFC Cutline Champion and 4th place ($90,000) (1720 teams)
2014 RTS Fantasy Championship National Champion ($200,000) (2460 teams)
2012 NFFC Online National Champion and 4th place ($110,000 winner) (1872 teams)
2014 DFWC National Champion (288 teams)

There's no flex Henry. STATS was unable to program the request before our sale went through. Here is Greg's post about that on Page 1 of this thread:

My apologies as we didn't program those changes for a Flex into the system before our recent sale and now we don't have enough time to get that done. We will have to stick with 4 RBs and plan for this change to 3 RBs and 1 Flex for next year. Sorry all.

I agree, adding the Flex and replacing 1 RB makes it a much better game in the final rounds. We didn't program that change in advance and we're not able to do that now. I definitely will get this changed well in advance next year.

So note that the starting lineup this year is again:

2 Quarterbacks
4 Running Backs
4 Receivers (includes Tight Ends)
1 Kicker
1 Team Defense/Specials Team

Yes the difference between having a flex and no flex was a huge difference maker in this contest. Having no flex really hamstrung what you could do in the 2nd round of the tournament. You almost had to be perfect in your predictions on who won and what players you used so you could fit in the guys you wanted at WR in the 2nd round and if you choose the wrong 1st round players you had to choose between dropping a 2x WR to fit in a 1x WR which doesn't make much sense to do while keeping a lesser RB who you didn't want to keep but you had to.

Would be a 100x better contest with a flex for sure.
