Marc Quitsch Wins Week 1 Fanball Free Roll/2018 Entry

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Wed Sep 13, 2017 4:12 pm

It looks like we have our first signup for the 2018 NFFC Primetime, either Online or in New York City. Dammit, I'm saying New York City because he was a Charter Member live with us in New York City in 2004, so he's coming live again in 2018!! :D

Marc Quitsch of Staten Island, New York won our debut Fanball.com DFS Free Roll in Week 1, topping 470 NFFC players for the title. Marc had an incredible lineup to finish with 160.04 points. Second place -- and a free 2018 Rotowire Online Championship team -- went to Joseph Rawlings as he finished with 157.04 points. Let's shout it out right here:

1st Marc Quitsch [email protected], 2018 NFFC Main Event Entry ($1600 value)
2nd Joseph Rawlings [email protected] 2018 NFFC Online Championship Entry ($350 value)

Again, a total of 470 different owners played DFS through Fanball.com this past week. We are offering another Free Roll this week, so go to Fanball.com right now, sign up and set your starting lineup before Sunday's games. Let's have some fun, get accustomed to the Fanball.com rules, software and more, and give away two free entries to the 2018 NFFC contests.

We want you to get comfortable with the site, so we'll probably do the Free Rolls in Weeks 2 and 3 again. After that we'll likely roll out a $50 NFFC-only contest that will be limited to only 55 teams (max of three teams per person) and will pay out a first place prize of a $1600 NFFC entry (Classic or Primetime) in 2018, a second place prize of a $350 Online Championship entry in 2018 and cash prizes to 3rd, 4th and 5th. I think that will go over well with our die-hard customers.

We also have one more surprise through the Fanball.com brand coming in Week 3. Stay tuned as we're still testing this out, but I think this one will be great for the NFFC and CDM customers. Stay tuned.

Okay, if you haven't checked out the Fanball.com Leaderboard for this contest, check it out now. Just click on the down arrow to the right of each team. Not only is this great to see everyone's lineup (check out Marc's first place team), but you also can imagine what the new software will look like on your NFFC Leaderboard pages. How cool will it be to check out everyone's lineups in this fashion:

Anyone know if the fanball player values can be exported to CSV format?

Congrats again to Marc and Joseph. I now have Marc's correct lineup in the first thread. Check it out once more and then get ready for another Free Roll on Fanball.com right now. Who's ready for the challenge?

I just checked and apparently Delaware passed legislation a month ago asking DFS companies to be licensed in the state and the licensing fee is $50,000 per company. We have decided not to pursue that. I'm not sure if the other DFS companies are paying that or not.

Contact your state legislators for more information or to voice your opinions. Thanks.

Here's the legislation and now I see it's an ANNUAL $50,000 fee and 15.6% fee on net revenues:

This is DELAWARE, not New York or California.

There are actually five states beyond the five original states that are exempt from the Fanball DFS game. They include:

- Delaware
- Nevada
- Alabama
- Hawaii
- Idaho

Each have state laws that make it tough for us to enter those markets. So right now only 40 of the 50 states are in play for Fanball DFS. Hope that helps.
