Seems a little extreme? Where is the Precedent for this one? Goodell = death of NFL?

The precedent is that A.J. Green swung harder and hit Jalen Ramsey more often and got 0 games. So they went off that and naturally gave Crabree ...... 2 games. What????

It makes no sense. It hasn't since the Ray Rice penalty.

I agree that we have to stop fights like this and the only way to do that is to suspend players. But that precedent was set in the other direction when A.J. Green got no games. Ridiculous. You can spin any logic for 2 games after the same incident got 0 games a few weeks before. Sorry.

Reduced to one game.

Scoreboard:

(1) AJ Green ejected for throwing a punch, missed half of that game. No further suspension .

(2) Mike Evans NOT ejected for attempted decapitation. Suspended one game.

(3) Michael Crabtree ejected for thuggery, missed almost entire game. Suspended for one game.

It appears that the NFL is using the ejection as part of the punishment. If so, the above pattern at least makes a degree of sense. :D

If they want to stop the "thuggery", hit'm in the wallet. How is Vontaze Burfict still in the game. This guy goes out to intentionally harm others. He has done it repeatedly, yet he still plays after a suspension and a fine. Repeat offenders need to pay "mega" $$$ and then eventually be exiled from the league. In a "normal" workplace environment, depending on severity, 1st offense you write up and counsel, 2nd offense you suspend, 3rd offense you terminate. The NFL is going downhill, maybe they should adopt common practice. There's lots of players out there begging to get into the league.

The NFL is losing their customer base. The owners are to blame. Jerry Jones is the only owner that speaks out, and I can probably speak for most as how "great" he comes across as a representative of anything. The owners accept the product they are putting on the field. Goodell is a puppet, don't blame him. You'd do the same damn thing if you were in his position, and you wouldn't hesitate taking your $20M a year to the bank just like him. Isn't that why they're offering him a new 7 year contract?

The game needs to be cleaned up and it starts from the top, just like any other business. The NFL is losing their star athletes either to age, injury or stupidity. MLB and the NBA are full of great young talent. Hell, even golf has a great influx of young talent. These sports stay off the front page politically and/or domestically. It's time the NFL owners take control of their product.
