It does look like the NFL owners are going to implement a 17 game season starting in 2021 with only one bye week per team. It's hard to believe that they don't add another bye week for the players, but as it stands now it looks like we are looking at an 18-week NFL regular season.

Thoughts on the 2021 NFFC season:

1. 14 week regular season and Championship Round in Weeks 15-17. Add an extra All Play week into each league.

2. Keep it as a 16-week season and not play Weeks 17-18??? I don't like that one at first glance, but it has to be on the table.

3. Any other alternatives??

Let's see some thoughts and discuss because it looks like the owners are ready to implement this as early as next season. Thanks all.
I'd strongly prefer 14 weeks with championship round in weeks 15-17 with an extra all play week. Maybe consider dividing the all plays into beginning, middle, and end of the season to help mitigate the effect of abandoned teams.

I am a little late to the thread but will state that I can live with Team Kicker, like the FA times, especially that Saturday one, also would like to see Consolation money go away as well as one getting their money back for third place versus the reduced amount. Finally, keep the 3 WR spots, it's a differentiator to the NFFC from other contests and does greatly affect strategies on what positions to draft and when imho.

You guys did great navigating this Covid craziness and I truly appreciate your keeping the Live Events at the Bellagio going this year. For many of us in never ending Lockdown hell states, it was a wonderful escape! :)

First off, kudos to you guys for setting the standard of how to handle all of the COVID issues this year! The NFFC is the absolute VERY BEST in high stakes fantasy football, and it isn't even close.

Now to the rules....

1) +1 for team kicker

2) Keep Wednesday and Saturday FAAB. It seemed to work well, and it can be adjusted like KOQ mentioned if needed.

3) NO CONSOLATION $$$$ IN PRIVATE LEAGUES!!!! WE (I know I) have been asking for it for years! Simply make it any league that is $2500 entry or higher does not have consolation (give that $$$ to 4th place). The fact that a team that didn't make the playoffs wins $$$, but one team that made the playoffs doesn't win any......its baffling to me. KEEP CONSOLATIONS FOR OVERALLS.

4) If it goes to an 18 week season, I like a week 15-17 playoff format.

One potential change.....could we look into "all play" the LAST 3 WEEKS (when people give up?)

Obviously with Classics and 14 team Super Auction......this could be Week 14?

Thanks for starting the thread, and Happy Holidays to you all! :)

It's definitely coming next year, so we'll make a decision sooner rather than later. Be ready and keep providing feedback:

4 week playoff could be a good thing — one bad week under the current format and you’re done.

I kind of like the 4 week playoff. It would minimize the impact of teams sitting players week 17 if they have nothing much to play for. I would opt for this versus a longer regualr season.

would rosters then be locked 4 weeks without faab?

Sure, why not?

I like things the way they are now - the only thing that I would suggest to all is expanding the roster to 22 from 20 - there are enough players - the extra 2 players would allow you to keep 1 or 2 extra at a position and maybe not spend as much on free agents, thus saving more money to last the season and not get caught short at the end going to the playoffs. This would make the draft more interesting.
