Trendsetters 2022

I haven't posted any results of Trendsetters for 2-3 years. It used to be one of the most read threads on the MB's, back before the NFFC became practically a yearlong drafting event. For those who don't know, it is a 14Team NFFC style DC which begins the minute the SB concludes. The draft is done in phases. The phases are 3 weeks apart. Phase 1 consists of 6 rounds, we have no clock, which takes about 3-4 days to complete. Phases 2 and 3 consist of 7 rounds each. Phases 4 and 5 are 5 rounds each. The NFL Draft lies between phases 4 and 5. We draft Rookie slots, but not a particular player. In other words, you'll see a Rookie 1 in this phase, after the NFL draft, that owner has first choice of what rookie he wants to put in that slot.

The league is composed of 14 seasoned NFFC veterans and has been going on since 2009, I believe. Most of the owners have been involved since it began, but there have been a few additions and subtractions through the years. I believe I joined in 2011 or '12. As expected, the owners are from all over, I think 10 different states from Mass to Cal and everywhere in between. This is undoubtedly my favorite draft of the year, simply because of the unknown aspect with us starting so early, free agency, the draft and it being a 14 teamer against some of the best.

It's great to see the NFFC Trendsetters continue this tradition Bill and thanks for posting. Everyone enjoys seeing the early round results from this league.

You are right, that this is now a year-round drafting place. Back in the early years of the Trendsetters, we rarely got the NFFC site live until after baseball drafting season. We started to get the season rolling a little sooner while at STATS, but it wasn't until moving to SportsHub Technologies that we were able to get the draft room open right after the Super Bowl.

Now we fill a Draft Champions league the day that the site rolls over and it was great to have draft results on last night's SiriusXM show from our first DC and from the Trendsetters League. I look forward to many more drafts between now and the time that the Trendsetters League finishes.
