The 2022 NFFC Draft Champions National Championship is already underway as drafts started in mid-February and are already filling regularly. Well done everyone as the passion to draft is here 7 months before the NFL season starts. We love it!!
The good news is that demand for this Best Ball format is higher than it ever has been and thus we are increasing the overall prize pool once again. This year we are expecting over 3,000 teams after finishing with a record 2,964 teams in 2021. For the second year in a row, the grand prize is $30,000 and we are now paying the Top 20 teams overall. We'd love to expand the overall prize pool even more and I think that's possible as we tweak the pause time for drafts this season. Stay tuned on those upcoming tweaks.
Once again we are offering 4-Hour, 2-Hour, 1-Hour and even 30-Minute Draft Champions Leagues, along with nightly Express leagues. The clock will again automatically go in half for the 4-Hour and 2-Hour DCs starting in Round 21 (it stays at 1 Hour for the 1 Hour DCs and 30 Minutes for the 30 Minute leagues). So for Rounds 21-34 in the 4-Hour leagues, you will have a 2-Hour clock for those last 15 rounds and for the 2-Hour DCs the clock will be 1 Hour.
We found out last year that this really quickened each Draft Champions league, giving players more chances to join more leagues. The software also allows you to easily set your queue for any and all rounds that you want. It's so easy now to set your queue for Round 25 or 26 and to also put the Auto-Pick feature on 1 Round if needed.
We currently have a 6-hour pause at night, but we will be expanding that to 8 hours shortly. We are working on the software now to allow the pause to take place between 1 am and 9 am ET, rather than the current 2 am to 8 am ET pause. You can still make picks during the pause and we found out that people have been doing that, so extending the pause time might allow more people to jump into 2-Hour leagues knowing that they won't have to stay up so late or get up so early in the morning to make their picks. Give us a little time and we'll have that change made soon.
We will again have Team Kicker for $150 and $400 DCs. In fact, we are using Team Kicker for all NFFC leagues for the second straight year and I think it's been well received not only by the NFFC community but by the entire fantasy football community. This move opens roster spots as you don't need more than three kickers now and it assures scoring from this position all year long.
The regular season will again be 17 weeks long as the NFL incorporates for the second straight year its 17-game, 18-week regular season. The Draft Champions Best Ball National Championship will have best ball scoring from Weeks 1 through 17 and the team with the most points among all teams in this contest will win the $30,000 grand prize.
Drafts will start 30 minutes after the league fills and draft spots are announced 15 minutes after the league is full. Always set your KDS preferences after you sign up and be ready to draft.
NEW THIS YEAR: Drafts are now 34 rounds long in the Draft Champions National Championship instead of 35 rounds. This way both ends of the draft order start rounds the same number of times rather than the back end starting rounds more often than the front end of the draft order.

Re: Win $30,000 In The 2022 NFFC Draft Champions National Championship
The 13th annual NFFC Draft Champions National Championship will feature a $30,000 grand prize in 2022. This contest, which features an optimal scoring lineup setup through 17 weeks, has prizes based on 250+ leagues and over 3,000 teams this year. We look for continued growth from this contest, which allows owners to draft in a number of new ways this year.
NEW FOR THIS YEAR: The NFFC Draft Champions leagues will now consist of 35 rounds instead of 34 rounds. This allows both ends of the draft order to start a round an equal number of times and is fairer for all draft spots.
Owners can now draft in a number of ways: 4-Hour, 2-Hour, 1-Hour, 30-Minute and even Express drafts at 1 minute per pick. We currently have a 6-hour overnight Pause from 2 am ET to 8 am ET, for the slow drafts, but we will be updating that soon to make the pause time from 1 am to 9 am ET. Owners can still make their picks during the Pause, but the clock will pause with exactly how much time is left at 2 am ET and pick up with that remaining time at 8 am ET. We believe the longer pause time will allow more people to pick faster DC times since they don't have to stay up so late or get up so early in the morning to make picks. Look for that change shortly.
Also remember that the clocks will be cut in half starting with Round 21 for 4 Hour and 2-Hour Draft Champions leagues. The clock in Rounds 21-34 will be 2 hours and 1 hour, respectively, while the 1-Hour DCs will always remain at 1 hour per pick.
Another change that remains for this year is Team Kicker, which frees up more roster spots for team owners. 32 kickers will be available in this Draft Champions format and nobody will have to worry about getting a 0 from this spot due to early off-season injuries or early cuts.
Registration is now open and we've already completed multiple leagues. This year we start drafts 30 minutes after the league fills and draft spots are announced 15 minutes after the league is full. Always set your KDS preferences after you sign up and be ready to draft. Thanks all.
Here's the Rules and Prizes for this contest in 2022:
OFFICIAL CONSTITUTION OF THE NFFC DRAFT CHAMPIONS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
1. Overview
The National Fantasy Football Championship (NFFC) Draft Champions National Championship will consist of 12 teams, with each team compiling 34 NFL players through a serpentine draft, using 3RR (3rd Round Reversal). Teams will compete in a year-long competition for the highest number of points, accumulating points from Week 1 through Week 17 from its highest scoring players from the 10 required positions. No weekly starting lineups are required as the computer will pick the optimal scoring lineup for each team after games are completed. The team with the highest point total in each league after Week 17 will be determined the league champion. Leagues will pay off Top 3 and there will be an overall competition among all of the Draft Champions Leagues with first place winning $30,000 and paying the Top 20 overall finishers.
2. Draft
All Draft Champions National Championship Leagues will be held online at playnffc.com. The order of each Draft Champions league will be chosen randomly by SportsHub and announced once leagues are full. The draft will go in order from Team #1 through Team #12 in the first round and then come back in reverse order in round two (Team #12 through Team #1). 4. No Trading
Trading is not allowed during the NFFC season and owners are not allowed to trade draft picks.
5. Roster Requirements
Maximum of 34 players at all times.
6. Starting Lineup Requirements
Starting lineups will consist of:
1 Quarterback
2 Running Backs
3 Wide Receivers
1 Tight End
1 Flex Player (RB, WR or TE)
1 Team Kicker
1 Team Defense/Specials Team
7. Scoring
Players can accumulate points in a number of ways:
PASSING
.05 points for every yard passing (works out to 1 point every 20 yards)
6 points for every passing touchdown
2 points for every 2-Point conversion
minus 2 points for every interception
minus 1 point for every lost fumble
RUSHING
.10 points for every yard rushing (works out to 1 point every 10 yards)
6 points for every rushing TD
2 points for every 2-Point conversion
minus 1 point for every lost fumble
6 points for a recovered offensive fumble for a touchdown (RB, QB, WR, TE)
RECEIVING
.10 points for every yard receiving (works out to 1 point every 10 yards)
6 points for every receiving TD
1 point for every reception for all players
2 points for every 2-Point conversion
minus 1 point for every lost fumble
KICKING
1 point for every extra point
3 points for every field goal from 1-30 yards
3 points for every field goal plus .10 points for every yard after 30 yards (i.e. a 47-yard field goal would be worth 4.7 points)
DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS
1 point for every sack
2 points for every interception or opponents' fumble recovery
6 points for every touchdown (interception return, defensive fumble return, punt or kickoff return, blocked field goal return, blocked punt return).
All special teams and defensive points are awarded to the team responsible. Individual players who also score a TD on special teams will receive 6 points for their fantasy teams. Also, any lost fumble or “muff” on a specials team play now results in negative points for that individual player. Should a kicker, punter or field goal holder throw a pass off a fake attempt, however, the offensive output for that offensive play would go towards the individual player, not the specials team.
2 points for every safety
2 points for every touchdown scored on a failed PAT or 2-point conversion
12 points for a shutout by the entire team
8 points for allowing 2-7 points by the entire team
4 points for allowing 8-14 points by the entire team
2 points for allowing 15-20 points by the entire team
1 point for allowing 21-24
8. Free Agent Acquisitions
There are no in-season free agent pickups in the Draft Champions League. What you draft is what you get.
9. The Draft
The Draft Champions National Championship drafts will be held online at playnffc.com. Leagues are automated to fill once 12 teams have signed up and the draft will start 30 minutes after the league fills, with draft spots announced via email 15 minutes after the league fills. Please set your KDS preferences shortly after you sign up. Draft orders will be randomly selected for each league and KDS will then be used to formulate the final draft order. The draft will be held in a serpentine fashion for each round using 3RR (1-12 in Round 1, 12-1 in Round 2, 12-1 in Round 3, 1-12 in Round 4 and continuing from there in serpentine fashion). Owners will have 1 hour, 2 hours or 4 hours to make their pick in this Draft Champions format (with the hope of making those picks as soon as they can) and each pick will be emailed to every owner in the league after it is made. We ask all owners to be ready to make a pick when they can, but this format is designed to allow owners to draft without being next to a computer at all times.
A. League Management Web Address: SportsHub will manage the NFFC and provide real-time stats online. You can access your league via the Internet by going to playnffc.com.
B. Scoring: There will be no lineup submission for the Draft Champions National Championship leagues. The computer will give each team an optimal fantasy point total each week from their top-scoring QB, 2RBs, 3 WRs, TE, K, D/ST and Flex Player. Teams will accumulate these optimal point totals each week for 17 weeks. Scores in the NFFC are finalized with no changes possible after 6 p.m. EST each Thursday after the weekend games.
10. League Structure
Each league will consist of 12 teams competing in a total points format over 17 weeks of the NFL season along with an overall competition from the 250+ Draft Champions National Championship Leagues. The teams with the Top 3 point totals in each league will be awarded prize money at the end of the season along with the Top 20 overall.
11. Random League/Draft Spot Selections
The NFFC will randomly select the draft order of each league once a Draft Champions league is full. These fill on a first-come, first-served basis and the draft follows 30 minutes after the league is full, with draft spots being emailed out 15 minutes after the league fills. In all NFFC Draft Champions leagues, we’ll implement the Kentucky Derby Style process to allow owners more draft preference. The KDS process allows owners to rank their order of preference, ranking their preferences 1 through 12 BEFORE the leagues are selected. If an owner wants the third pick and is selected No. 1 overall in his league, he would choose that option and he would then be moved to third in that league. NFFC officials will look at every owner’s Draft Preferences after the leagues and orders are randomly selected and then announce the draft orders for each league. Once each NFFC owner has officially signed up for the contest, they can find this feature once they click on their team link. Then click on Draft Preferences and you’ll see the Draft Order ranked 1 through 12 and the option to Edit Preferences next to them. If you decide not to rank your preferences, your preferred order will remain 1 through 12. Owners can change their Draft Preferences right up until the announced deadline is set. An example of a KDS preference would be: 3, 2, 1, 12, 11, 7, 8, 9, 4, 5, 6, 10. If you were randomly picked third for your league and the top three teams took 3,2 then you’d be slotted in the 1st spot (your third preference) on Draft Day.
12. Tie-breaker procedures
If there are any ties at the end of Week 17, those teams will split the prize money (i.e. 1st and 2nd combined and split between two teams).
13. Draft Rules
Time Limit: Each participant will have a 4 or 2 or 1 hour time limit for each pick for Rounds 1-20 and the clock will be cut in half for the 4-Hour and 2-Hour Draft Champions leagues starting in Round 21 and continuing through Round 34. If the participant does not make a pick in 1, 2 or 4 hours, the computer will automatically make that pick, selecting first from that player's Queue. If there are no players in the Queue, the computer will pick the top player in the player default list.
Trading: There is no trading allowed during the Draft Champions National Championship season.
League Formation: Leagues start the day they fill. Leagues will start 30 minutes after they fill and continue until all 34 rounds are complete. If a league fills after 10 pm ET, it will start the next day at 8 am ET.
Making Picks: If a participant does not make a selection in the allotted time, the computer will select for that owner using SportsHub’s overall ranking system. If there is a computer failure, an error made with a selection by an owner or any other type of technical malfunction, the draft moderator can stop the draft at any time and correct the error and then resume the draft. We will allow the draft moderator to roll back the draft if a technical error occurred, but if the desired player had already been selected before the draft was stopped that player is no longer available to be drafted. All decisions will be made by the NFFC moderator during the draft and will be final.
14. Trades between managers
To minimize the possibility of collusion, there will be no trading allowed.
15. League Structure
NFFC Draft Champions Leagues consist of 12 teams/managers drafting 34 rounds over several days. Owners have up to 1, 2 or 4 hours per pick in Rounds 1-20 and half of that in Rounds 21-35 (except in 1 hour drafts) and they receive an email after every pick. Leagues form with the next 12 owners who sign up and that league starts 30 minutes later, with draft picks being announced to all owners 15 minutes after the league fills. Draft Champions Leagues use Third Round Reversal and the optimal scoring format through 17 weeks. The computer picks your best starting lineup at the end of every week. Once the draft is done, your work is done.
16. Random League/Draft Spot Selections
These NFFC Draft Champions Leagues fill on a first-come, first-serve basis. The order of each Draft Champions league will be chosen randomly by SportsHub Technologies and announced once leagues are full. Leagues are automated to fill once 12 teams have signed up and the draft will start 30 minutes later, with draft spots announced via email 15 minutes later. In all NFFC draft leagues, we’ll implement the Kentucky Derby Style process to allow owners more draft preference. The KDS process allows owners to rank their order of preference for Draft Day, ranking their preferences 1 through 12 BEFORE the leagues are selected. If an owner wants the third pick and is selected No. 1 overall in his league, he would rank #3 as his top preference and he would then be moved to third in that league on Draft Day. NFFC officials will look at every owner’s Draft Preferences after the leagues and orders are randomly selected and then announce the draft orders for each league. Once each NFFC owner has officially signed up for the contest, they can find this feature once they click on their team link. You will see the rankings ranked 1-12 and an Edit Preferences link. If you decide not to rank your preferences, your preferred order will remain 1 through 12. Owners can change their Draft Preferences right up until the announced deadline is set. An example of a KDS preference would be: 1, 2, 3, 12, 11, 7, 8, 9, 4, 5, 6, 10. If you were picked fourth out of the hat for your league and the top three teams took 1, 2, and 3, then you’d be slotted in the 12th spot (your fourth preference) on Draft Day.
17. Tie-breaker procedures
If there are any ties at the end of Week 17, those teams will split the prize money (i.e. 1st and 2nd combined and split between two teams).
18. League Setup
All NFFC Draft Champions Leagues will be held online at nffc.sportshubtech.com and owners will have 1, 2 or 4 hours per pick in Rounds 1-20 and half that in Rounds 21-34. The DC League uses Third Round Reversal, so the draft order is 1-12 in Round 1, 12-1 in Round 2, 12-1 in Round 3 and then 1-12, 12-1 every round after that. The draft goes on for 34 rounds. The computer then picks the optimal scoring lineup of each team through 17 weeks of action and the team with the most points after Week 17 wins the league and overall prizes.
19. Refunds
Once a participant submits valid payment, no money will be refunded unless the NFFC event for which such participant has registered has been canceled. A team spot is considered filled when the entire entry fee is paid. SportsHub reserves the right to cancel any entries which are not part of a full league. In addition, SportsHub retains the right to deny, at its sole discretion, eligibility of any individual to register for any NFFC game or event and/or participate in any NFFC game or event, even after the registration fee has been paid, but in such case, the entry fee will be refunded. Under no condition shall SportsHub be held responsible for any loss or liability related to any expenses incurred by a denied entrant or any person affiliated with that denied entrant. Notwithstanding anything herein to the contrary, in the event that any participant or co-manager is banned from the NFFC as the result of any violation of the Official Rules, then no refund will be given.
20. Cancellation
At its sole discretion, SportsHub reserves the right to terminate any NFFC game, event or league at any time prior to the completion of the season due to any acts of God, natural disasters, terrorism, change in applicable law, interruption of the season (including strikes, lockouts and/or use of replacement players), or any other situation beyond the control of SportsHub. In the event of any such termination by SportsHub, all entry fees will be refunded, with the exception of any live event fees (if such live event has already occurred).
21. Taxes
If the principal team owner's net prize winnings are $600.00 or greater (or any other threshold subsequently established by the IRS), the National Fantasy Football Championship (“NFFC”) must file a Form 1099 with the IRS at the end of this calendar year. We will request your social security number and signature on this form. The form contains the amount paid to you minus your entire entry fees in 2022 and you will receive a copy of the form for tax purposes. SportsHub pays the principal team owner of each NFFC team that was submitted on the entry form and you are responsible for paying any taxes that result from your cash prize; please consult your income tax advisor for filing advice. In the event that the awarding of any prizes to winners of the Contest is challenged by any legal authority, SportsHub reserves the right in its sole discretion to determine whether or not to award such prizes. After 12 months, any unclaimed prize will be forfeited.
22. Eligibility; Registration
The National Fantasy Football Championship is open to individuals who are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your state of residence) and are a resident of the United States of America or Canada. Notwithstanding the foregoing, residents of Washington State, Louisiana, Montana, Arizona, Delaware and Iowa are not eligible to register or play in the NFFC. All registrations must be in the full legal name of the primary team owner, though owners will have the option to add a co-manager(s).
23. Official Rules
Registration for, and continued participation in, the National Fantasy Football Championship constitutes your full and unconditional agreement to these official rules (“Official Rules”) and to SportsHub’s decisions relating thereto. SportsHub’s decisions in regards to these Official Rules and all matters pertaining to the National Fantasy Football Championship are final and binding.
24. Code of Conduct
All participants and co-managers are expected to behave in lawful, respectful and sportsman-like fashion at all live draft events, throughout the NFFC season, and during use of any NFFC website, including, but not limited to comments posted on any NFFC message board. Additionally the NFFC events, games and/or leagues may not be used for any form of gambling. Any conduct or message board post by a participant, co-manager or other person which is deemed by SportsHub, in its sole discretion, to be unlawful, or to have the effect of intimidating, harassing, offending or otherwise harming any other participant, co-manager, guest, or NFFC/SportsHub representative, is strictly prohibited. SportsHub reserves the right, in its sole discretion to ban any person from current and/or future participation in the NFFC and/or from use of the message boards if such person engages in any such prohibited conduct or is otherwise in violation of any of these Rules. In addition, any person engaging in such conduct forfeits any rights to a refund, as well as any potential rights to a prize award. SportsHub shall not be responsible or held liable to any person for damage to property or personal injury or death arising from the acts or omissions of any third parties. Any participants or co-managers who collude, or attempt to collude, or who attempts to blackmail, bribe or otherwise influence any representative of SportsHub/NFFC, or who otherwise attempts to sabotage the league, in an effort to alter the results or outcome of any NFFC game will be disqualified and will be prohibited from winning any prize award. If a participant is banned from participation in a current NFFC game, then SportsHub reserves the right, to take those actions which it sees fit, in its sole discretion with respect to such banned participant’s team. Any criminal behavior may be referred to the appropriate authorities.
25. Errors
The deadline for submitting any dispute or claim regarding the operation of any league draft is one hour after the conclusion of the draft itself; further, leaving any live draft event without submitting any dispute or claim regarding the draft constitutes your waiver of any right to challenge any aspect of the draft. You are strongly urged to double-check your lineups, trades, and free agent moves throughout the season, as SportsHub/NFFC will not be held liable for any errors in entering lineups, trades or free agent moves, and SportsHub/NFFC will not intervene or alter a transaction after lineups, trades or free agent moves are due.
26. Prize Splitting
Prize splitting amongst the principal registrant and co-managers is available, provided that the principal registrant has authorized payment to his co-managers in writing and in advance of the completion of the season. In order to authorize prize-splitting, the principal registrant must completely fill out and sign the authorization form designated by SportsHub (including the name and address of the co-manager(s) and the applicable prize percentage to be paid to each co-manager(s)). Both the principal registrant and each co-manager designated on a prize-splitting form will be required to fill out a W-9. No prize money will be distributed until all necessary forms have been received by SportsHub. Both the principal registrant and the co-manager(s) will receive IRS Form 1099 reflecting the prize money paid to each. If SportsHub deems, in its sole discretion, that the appropriate documentation and/or authorization has not been received, or has not been received in a timely fashion, then SportsHub will pay prize payments only to the principal registrant.
27. Communication and Access
All NFFC team owners must have internet access and a valid e-mail address for communication. SportsHub is not responsible for any issues which impede or interfere with the transmission or receipt of any transaction, including but not limited to, draft selections, trades, free agent moves and lineups. SportsHub is also not responsible for the failure of any telephone networks/lines, internet connections, software/hardware, or internet congestion/transmission rates.
28. Hold Harmless
Each participant and co-owner hereby releases and holds harmless SportsHub and its parents, affiliates, and subsidiaries, and their respective directors, officers, employees, agents and representatives from and against any and all liability for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind to person (including death) and property, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly from participation in any NFFC event, game or league, as well as acceptance or use of any prize award.
29. Player Eligibility
Players will be eligible at one position during the NFFC season and designated for that position before the season by SportsHub. Should a player move to another primary position before the start of the season, the NFFC reserves the right to give that player a second eligible position. No player will ever lose the eligibility originally designated by the NFFC, but a second position could be added if deemed necessary by the NFFC. All decisions made by the NFFC commissioner regarding eligibility are final.
