rushing yards vs SD...
d.davis 87
c.martin 119

c.brown 55
f.taylor 64
t.duckett 45

as someone pointed out, maybe he'll get some catches. still for $3, he was good value

Two things:

I am in no way involved with this wager. Not even slightly involved.

Second, Gekko -- you have consistently managed to bid in the range of 5-10 points ahead of me for free agents all season long. Please stop.

McCareins is a great pickup as Pennington/Edwards have a history of doing right by neglected guys.

Even though I have only 1 RB these two very nice folks let me grab Brad Hoover off the waiver wire for 3 of my remaining 10 bidding dollars. Brad Hoover, who likely will start for Carolina against the defensively challenged San Diego Chargers. I must say, such generosity cannot go unpunished The only thing Hoover will be good for this weekend is to vaccuum up the $1250 that you so kindly dropped in NY League #6
Considering that odds aren't that bad that he could end up playing more than S Davis the rest of the way, $3 was a great deal. I had to pay $11 in LV2.
It was all strategy. We have already laid the smack down on JP in Week #5. JP plays pocket aces in week #10 when JP's Droughns is on a bye week. So hopefully his Hoover helps our squad out.

We are always thinking 2 steps ahead. In this case it is 4 steps ;)

Good thing it's week 10. There's actually a scenario where I would want to lose to the first place team in week 12 or 13.

In the unlikely event I had a couple of huge weeks and found myself closing in on 2nd place in total points with the league leader 1st in total points and record...

Then I would want to be sure that the points leader stayed in 1st place so I could have a better chance to qualify with the 2nd best points. If the points leader isn't in 1st, then #2 in points has to be h2h winner or be out.
