Great job Chicago!

Post by BillyWaz » Sun Sep 04, 2011 12:59 pm

I just want to thank Rob Benetti, Dean Peterson, and the entire STATS crew for a great weekend of events in the Windy City.

I thought the Hyatt was a GREAT venue to hold this draft, and the food was like Ruth Chris steakhouse to last year's Hardees. ;) Excellent food and a great place......hope it continues to be there.

Also was great seeing all of the "Chicago brethren". I'm not going to mention all the names, but I also want to give a special thanks to Darryl for opening up his home on 2 nights for us and the Clampitt boys for letting me crash on their floor all weekend......always a great time seeing everyone! :D

I agree. The venue and food were great. Keep it there if you can, Greg and Tom.

In total in agreement with Billy and Jack. The absolute best from the NFFC and/or NFBC in my short tenure with both events. Thanks a lot for making it an even better experience. I can't help but add to Billy on the job done by Rob and Dean. They worked their butts off to make these drafts go as smooth and organized as humanly possible.

Just no more fire alarms at 2AM in the morning. :(

Is that what time that fire alarm went off??
Thank God I was at the casino with a few others giving a new meaning to the word "auction"
But yes the hotel and area in Rosemont was
a good fit.

Thank YOU everyone who participated in Chicago. We didn't have our biggest numbers there this year, but wow, what a great, great time. I've never received so many emails and texts from one city with compliments. Seriously. That's a credit to Rob, Dean, the rest of the STATS crew and I guess the chef at the Hyatt. I don't know what they served, but several folks talked about the food there. I love that hotel, so I'm very excited to hear it went well. Yeah, I'd love to return there if we can. We're definitely returning to Chicago next year and it's our home base, a place we want to BLOW OUT with the right promotions.

Thanks again. Great job all. And just imagine what a weekend it would have been if Fox TV had come through on Friday!! :D But great job all on getting them interested in the NFFC as well. Thanks again all.

I would like to Thank Rob, Dean, & all my league mates for what would have been my best time ever being involved with a draft & Lord help it was by phone unfortunately. I knew when I saw many of the guys in the league that it was many of the names I had seen time n time again on the MB and was so talented. Unfortunately Mother Nature took me out early as we had a massive storm that knocked every possible signal & all power out for the better part of 4.5 hours. I was helpless and as I sat I only thought about the position I put my league mates in, absolutely wanting to do my part to make this league as competitive as possible. I want to say to my league mates how sorry I am that Mother Nature took me out early, but my family made it thru and my parents who are elder also which was huge or me. I thank my league mates who were concerned for me & my family and were such a great thoughtful group to let rob finish for me. I wish I could shake everyone's hand & Thank you in person butt this is the best I can do. This group of guys ( most whom have never met me ) have a special place in my heart for what they did for me. I was so enjoying putting voices to faces I had seen names for on the mb and knew how gifted they were, it was great. The draft was absolutely the smoothest, best flow draft I've been involved in thanks to Rob & Dean running it like a well oiled machine and my league mates never missing a beat on their quality picks. I only wish I could have been there in person, and one day hope to be able to meet this group in person. Again, Thank You to Rob, Dean & all my league mates for all your thoughts for my family & finishing the final rounds for my team.

I agree with everyone above. Great job in Chicago this year, it was much better than the last few years. The food was great and everything went very smoothly thanks to the facilitators.

Yes, my 4th in Chicago and the best by far. Hope I am talking about my team there. I know NY is NY with the prices so I did not want to rub it in but..... we had beer in a bucket of ice, buds, heineken, dont know what else, help yourself. The food was great, chicken molee, fish, rice, steak and onions with tortillas, clam chowder, salads, and flan(I passed) and pineapple for dessert. No ****. Did I mention the the tub with ice cold beers. I did enjoy the plate of cookies 3 years ago ;) but this was really, really good. If the wife wasnt working and did not have to go back to relieve the baby sitter I would have hung for the Primetime and mooched.
Thank you Rob and everyone else, the draft went off without a hitch for our league. Great guys all around also. Thanks again and good luck to all.
