Trade Offer

Hello everyone -
I was offered a trade in my PPR league, tell me what you think. I am leaning towards no, but he keeps sweetening the deal:

My RBs currently: AP, MJD, Edgerrin, J Stewart
My WRs currently: Fitz, Wayne, Coles

He Wants:
Adrian Peterson and either MJD or J Stew along with Larry Fitzgerald.

He will give me:
Michael Turner, Brandon Jacobs, DeSean Jackson and Brandon Marshall.

Thoughts?

If it were me I'd say no. He's getting the two best players in the deal in my opinion in Peterson and Fitz. I don't see the need for you to make a deal. You're loaded at WR and you can go with Peterson and then pick a RB2 between MJD and Stewart each week depending on matchups. I like the talent you have and I wouldn't want to break that up.

Just my 2 cents.

I wouldn't do it, either. I assume this is a trade geared toward the playoffs. Turner has Tampa and Minnesota in weeks 15 and 16, and we have seen how he performs against good run stopping teams. In comparison, Peterson's schedule is pretty good during the playoff weeks, imo.

With Arizona on a huge passing roll, I would not trade Fitz. While he and Marshall are pretty similar, I'd stick with the offense that is really hot. You also won't have a weather issue in Arizona and you could in Denver.

Desean Jackson won't help you considering your depth at WR.

Marshall and Fitz are a wash. Unless it's a very deep league or you're starting a couple of flex then Jackson is probably a bench player so you have to ask if AP and MJD for Turner and Jacobs benefits you. I don't personally see how it could - especially in PPR.

I normally avoid leagues that allow trades but there really isn't any reason to do a trade unless you are really upgrading your team. Typically if you have to think about it a lot then at best it's a lateral move.

Mike,

My question is how you got AP, Fitz, and Wayne on the same team. All 3 of them are usually gone by the 20th pick!

Marshall and Fitz is a wash but i dont like Stewart or E James for the rest of this year.Jamesis done and Deangelo playing better than Stewart.Getting Jacobs,Turner ,and Desean Jackson for AP is a lot and you keep MJD.I would do it.

Thanks for the help guys!

I was offered another trade by a different guy, I am certain he is crazy, but figured I would ask away.

He wants AP and Reggie Wayne, I'd get Westbrook and Berrian.

BTW whomever asked how I got all three of those players, we have a 10 team league (quite low i know)and I had 3rd over all pick. Grabbed AP, then Fitz and Wayne.

Here's why I don't like trading leagues. Last night a local league had this trade:

Cassel/Fasano/Henderson for Brees/Clark/Cotchery

It's just a work league but it sure makes you shake your head. Next year it's all NFFC for me.

Yea sounds like the guy must be throwing in a 6 pack of beer or $20 on that one wayne. I've often suspected it in my local. I did make a trade recently for hightower and david martin. I gave up heap and kevin smith. I have gonzo as my starting te so heap was a throw in to get hightower.
