27 Owners Have Won Multiple Classic League Titles: 2004-2011

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Thu Dec 29, 2011 5:40 am

Congratulations to Jules McLean of Los Angeles, California and Joseph Treffiletti of Sunrise, Florida for becoming the first FOUR-TIME Classic League champions. Nobody else has done it better in the very tough 14-team format than Jules and Joe. Both won Classic league titles this year the hard way: By winning their league playoff race in Weeks 14-16. CONGRATS.

We also added two more veteran NFFC owners to the list of those who have won more than two Classic League titles. Eddie Gillis won his third Classic League title this year in Online League 1 and lost in another league playoff race or he would have joined Jules and Joe with four Classic League titles. Eddie likes to space out his titles, having won in 2004, 2008 and now 2011!! :D Nice job Eddie.

Stephen Jupinka won two Classic League titles this year to give him three titles, tied with Eddie. Steve, who won our $100,000 grand prize in baseball in 2010, won his first Classic League title way back in 2005. Congrats on the two titles this year Steve.

We have 23 other owners who have won at least two Classic League titles since we started in 2004. That means only 27 owners have won 2 or more Classic League titles in our eight seasons. Pretty amazing. Here's a look at that list and then the Year-by-Year list for the NFFC Classic:

27 Owners Have Won Multiple Classic League Titles: 2004-2011

Post by Greg Ambrosius » Thu Dec 29, 2011 9:24 am

Only FOUR NFFC owners have won multiple league titles in both the Classic and Primetime Main Events, one hell of an accomplishment. Each has won two league titles in the 14-team format and two league titles in the 12-team format. They include:

Glenn Schroter
Jeff Edwards
Glenn Karant
Tom Yates

CONGRATS guys. That takes some doing to accomplish those four league titles.

Okay, if you need to scout your opponents going forward, the lists on this thread should help a little bit!! ;) The owners to watch out for are the ones who have been able to master the competition during our first eight years of the competition. It's not easy to win multiple league titles in our 14-team format, so kudos to those owners who can do it. See the first post here for the list of 27 owners who have done it twice. GREAT JOB to all of those owners on that list.
