Gekko,

Are you going to respond to WHY it wouldn't be better that you (as an example) would have had a CHOICE last year with the KDS, and wouldn't have to be stuck with the 5th pick?

You have responded to everyone else, but seem to be avoiding this question.

Thanks!

we need to have a big week, once again we have good point total so so win loss record. we may make it as a wild card team on total points. i told rick that fbg suck and we will use them for info only. how long have you been playing ff? when i stated in 1989 there was only to ff books the internet was not even a part of ff back then. i think that people use the info on the internet to much and let all these web sites do their home work for them. i don't do that because i don't trust the info on some of these sites. good example you got burned by fbg this year, i think that i know as much about this as anyone. lets face it some of these sites have only been around since 1998, 1995. i don't think they know anymore than anyone else. we do need them for the current info on game day and the stats but i don't care what they think. i also think that people put to much value on matchups.

How does anybody "get burned" by a FFwebsite?
Especially FBG?
This is really one heck of an excuse for someone to offer up. Yes there were tons of threads about "If you draft Priest... or Value of LJ... or when do you have to take LJ..", but all of these were opinions by posters, some of whom write for the site. There may have been one person articles or "face offs" - one person on each side of the arguments as well, but I am unaware of any recommendation by Bryant or Dobbs, who run the site, to implement that specific strategy (or any other one for that matter).

As Nag said, they have the most active message boards where tons of ideas get thrown against the wall (much better off season than during games where too many yoyos are trying different versions of WDIS or people who are only at the site for the season offering opinions like they have some idea of what they are talking about).

It is by far the most cost effective site, although as someone suggested the updates and rankings from Fantasy Guru are quite good. But there are many other good sites - different ones good for different things AND for different fantasy players - we are each looking for different things in a site. So Draft Sharks, FFChamps, All Pro Publishing etc., all have their usefullness.

NONE of which is to be blamed for an individuals choices when they are drafting or playing. Sack it up - we are all responsible for our own choices - good or bad.
Good, you and Gerard go over to the WCOFF boards and talk about their event and random selections for 12-team leagues. Enough of this now, GG.

Talk about sucking the fun out.....sheesh.

GG, whom I thought was Hoffa for a bit since you disappeared.....Your statement about Barlow would be correct if it was a RB only league.

He is the 67 RB/WR/TE so the 3rd round ISN'T where he should have been drafted!
GLY/Nag - too bad you guys don't realize there is not an equal distribution of rb/wr/te selected during the first three rounds. in the first two rounds of the avg nffc draft 20 RB's were selected. selecting the 23rd best RB (no matter his name) would make sense in the 3rd round, statistically speaking.
So what about my strategy of getting S.Davis, the 19th best scoring RB, in the 8th round?

Or those who got C.Brown/T.Jones/R.Droughns/ way later than Barlow??

And I am dumbfounded you say it "makes sense" statistically speaking....don't his stats show otherwise regardless of the distribution of RB's?

RIWORKHORSE made a statement that this is a WR league...If you look at the rankings for WR/RB/TE..his comment makes sense as there's more WR in the top 50 than RB's.

One may say, "well that just shows you need to get the top one's right away"

I think getting a Droughns or Jones later on a loading up on stud WR's makes more sense now after seeing the rankings.

I know my strategy will be way different next year.

And GG, I know how time consuming baseball is.

EVERY SINGLE DAY...over and over...new starting pitchers/relief pitchers/catchers.....making changes, again, and again....checking for double headers coming to get thos extra stats....watching the minors closely waiting for a R.Howard and others like him to be called up....

Baseball is TOO much and whomever takes the prize in that definitely deserves it.

My family has wanted to "kill me" the past 3 years because of fantasy baseball so I will not play this year and maybe never again.

Again, I am not a Nag, so don't include me with him in replies....I would never give up on a team and say they "didn't have a chance" and keep an inactive kicker.

It killed me to drop Rackers this week, but why keep a kicker who tore his calf? He won't be the same if he happens to kick again this year.

BTW how did your baseball teams finish?

What's with the WCOFF bashing? I actually just stumbled across this league by accident (much like WCOFF 4 years ago) and I do agree that both have their drawbacks, but to quote Greg Talk about sucking the fun out.....sheesh. . I was curious about this league so I've been following alot of the threads this year. Several observations...

-now I know where alot of the MIA WCOFF'ers went
-I don't miss GG from WCOFF
-snake's styling of posting is annoying, kinda like the "Jimmy" episode of Seinfeld
-I never knew how much of a ballbuster 'Nag was
-Much more whining here IMHO
-I like Greg's way of handling situations. He makes sense if you just listen.
-Lenny P. ain't a bad guy and his opinions about things, though different than some here, are still valid too
-I like random and I'd probably like KDS too if I knew more about it
-Being different doesn't make anything better or worse

Sound's (and looks) like you guys have another great "national" league here. It's never gonna be "perfect" for everyone, but IMHO, Greg has done a great job being proactive and open to change alot more than Lenny. Not an issue for me, just refreshing. Good luck to everyone for the $100,000 chase...

..
That's one of the funnier things I have read this season....

Snake does refer to himself in the 3rd person as did Jimmy..

I just wonder who is gonna be the "Kramer" that takes "the bread out of Jimmy's mouth?"

That was a great episode...Tim Whatley having porno mags in his dentist office..Jerry waking up to to Whatley and assistant getting dressed....Kramer mistaken for "being mentally challenged"...

Hated to see that show go off the air, definitely one of a kind...Now all of the sitcoms seem to only have sex jokes with no sense of humor whatsoever. There will never be another Seinfeld!
