The NFBC and NFFC are finalists for two industry awards that will be presented at the Fantasy Sports Trade Conference in Las Vegas on Jan. 16-18. The conference will be held at the Mirage and will include the FSTA/Sirius-XM Industry draft on Monday night. The FSWA Hall of Fame and FSTA Awards Banquet will follow on Tuesday night.
Greg will be the presenter for Ron Shandler, who will be inducted into the FSWA Hall of Fame that night. Hopefully we'll even take home some hardware later on.
We are a finalist for the Best Live Event, with the NFBC representing us in that category. With us hosting two weekends of live events in five different cities, we felt the NFBC was our best representation. There are three finalists:
Best Live Event
STATS LLC – National Fantasy Baseball Championship
FanDuel – FanDuel Fantasy Football Championship
Profanity Sports – Las Vegas Super Bowl Trip
We are also one of five finalists for the industry's Best Contest. The NFFC was entered there because of our TWO $100,000 grand prizes, our $60,000 Online Championship and everything from $60 leagues to $10,000 leagues. We really do offer a myriad of games in the NFFC. Here are the finalists:
Most Outstanding Fantasy Contest
STATS LLC – National Fantasy Football Championship
CDMSports.com – Diamond Challenge
Real Time Fantasy Sports – All-Pro Fantasy Football
MyFantasyLeague.com – Sirius/XM Fantasy Football Challenge
NFL.com – NFL.com Fantasy Football 2011
Wish us luck. Voting is taking place now. But no matter what happens, we're proud to be finalists in these two categories.

Well deserved. Good luck.

This is a very nice honor.
Question, how do they pick who the finalist are?
I wonder why the FFPC didn't get a nomination?
Do you have to be associated with the FSTA?

Do you have to be associated with the FSTA? Nominations are submitted by FSTA members and then the finalists are whittled down by the Board of Directors in a vote to the top 3-4. FSTA member companies each get one vote now to determine the winners. I believe there are 100+ FSTA member companies.
I don't know. They would be a natural fit for Best Live Event. I do not know if they are members, but I do know that Alex and Dave are going to the conference in January and that David Dodds is being inducted into the FSWA Hall of Fame with Joe Bryant as his presenter.
Yes, you need to be an FSTA member for these awards. We started this in 2000 to give companies recognition for their work, so this must be the 13th annual awards.

We submitted details of how we have 14-team, 12-team, high-dollar private leagues, auctions, Slow Drafts, the whole ball of wax. It's more than just one Main Event in one city, it's everything we offer in the NFFC contests.
