NFFC Satellite League Results

One more point: You are correct that a lot of folks have 1,2 as their KDS favorites. But not everyone has 1 as their preferred draft spot and not everyone has 1,2 as their top 2. And after that, the KDS preferences are ALL over the board. There is no way that KDS was as varied last year without 3RR as they are this year. And as I've noted in the satellite leagues, the average preferred preference per league has been around 4.3 per owner, which means the average owner gets their fourth or fifth preference. To me, that's a good thing, whether you like 3RR or not. The facts prove that OWNERS are getting a somewhat preferred draft spot this year than they were getting before.

Is that perceived value? Personally, it's real value. To the NFFC owners. And after all, they pay the bills.

A multi-league auction would WITHOUT a doubt be the fairest way to start a draft (as obviously, EVERYONE starts from the EXACT same point).

The problem in my eyes is that people already complain about "hearing" other drafts at the Main, I imagine this would be even more so for am auction (not to mention that on the break, teams could look how much players went for in other drafts and use that to their advantage).

Collusion COULD be an issue, but even if 3 guys were in together, I think it would be difficult to manipulate "that much" to give them an advantage.

I have always liked the auction for that very reason. When someone takes a player in the early 2nd round who based on his ADP (which I know you hate :D ) he could have easily got a full round later, it can disrupt a draft.

With 14 (or 12) owners in an auction, MOST players go for "fair value" because there are 14 or 12 owners with a say in that player (early on anyway), and not just ONE guy or gal.

Instead I hoped he'd fall to me at 3.10 and he obviously didn't make it. It was MY mad and MY bad only. I also passed on Willie Parker at 1.10 when Lou was talling me he's easily be a top 10 back and I didn't listen. Again - on ME. Nothing to do with ADP, 3RR, ABC or UPS. yo lance. bennetti. there is a whole world here at the nffc that I didnt know existed. blood is pumping just thinking about vegas for 12 days. i also got to say that joining up here, has got me thinking at a whole new level..i love it (also helps that my home league is now 14 teams too). i love how FF is evolving..this is terrific and outside the box thinking vs traditional drafts (which are still great too)

I'm commish in my league tomorrow...I wanted to introduce KDS with 3RR (12 teams)...but there was resistance...so I just stood firm and went with KDS only.

They all liked the luck of the draw with whatever card you are dealt.

We'll see how they like it...just like Greg...I'm at the whims of my league participants.

Maybe 3RR/KDS in 2008...or back to random...we'll see!

McGahee at #9 seems like a bit of a surprise, and there is no denying that Shaun Alexander seems to be creeping up draft boards EVERYWHERE.

I was in a satellite last week (not yet posted) where McGahee went #7! It looks like TK may have quite a following! He is climbing up the list of great soothsayers ...

1) Nostradamus
2) Oracle of Delphi
3) TK
...
...

Not quite sure how to set my KDS for drafting from that list )
