Uh Im not trying to bash you, and you sir, are no Donald Trump. If you re-read my post, I was riffing off of the fact that based on the model listed, you had 56 points, which all came from one year. (40 for overall and 16 for a league win.) whereas KOQ won or finished 2nd in his league 3 years straight. To me, KOQ is a more consistent player based on that info, which is what my post was about. If those facts, which I cited from the original post on Page 1, are incorrect then I stand corrected.
I also gave kudos to you for winning it all if you re-read my post, as I said that is a bigger accomplishment then anything else, which it is, you won it all, great job, nobody can take that away from you. If you are looking for someone to tell you that you are the world's greatest, that ship sailed 2 years ago. But Im sure you will be back on top sooner then later and Im pulling for you because I want people to remember you for that Championship, and not drafting 2 Running Backs from the same team in the first 2 rounds.

5th overall = 8 pts
1st in 05 = 8 pts
2nd in 04 = 4 pts
total = 20
you telling me you won in 04 rather than finished second (if you did that would be 24 pts, not 40) ?
.. here is the winner according to Tom's post from Dec 2004:
Chicago League 2
1. Gary Winner, Highland Park, IL (sly guys)
2. Scott Gunaca, Romulus, MI (fantasyjungle.com) [/QUOTE]KJ, you are correct, I thought we won both years. But what I was referring to, was this:
Win $5000+ lge (16)
Cash $5000+ lge (8)
Win $1000+ lge (8)
Cash $1000+ lge (4)
Win $500+ lge (4)
Cash $500+ lge (2)
Win any lge (2)
Cash any lge (1)
So a 16 (1st in league) +8 (2nd in league) + 8 (top 5 overall)= 32.
Is that correct or is it not 16 for a 1st?

I'd say the Main event trumps all for bringing your best game/draft/plan...because there is the most to win/fame etc.
BUT...If I were playing in the main event AND the Ultimate...and the Ultimate was drafted AFTER the main event...I may save my best game for the Ultimate.
Just an angle to think about. Satellites, magazine and side leagues RARELY IF EVER get a players best effort...it's part of the posturing/bluffing involved in fantasy sports.
~Lance Umm, anyone who is a true competitor drafts with the same intention during each and every draft. I'm sorry, but everyone who claims they "save their best" for the main is a LOSER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some of the fantasy folks are so vain in thinking they can't "reveal" their secret sleepers. No one cares who you draft, no one is studying you picks, no one is following your draft plan. The satellites are usually filled with stiffer competition, so why in the he!! would anyone not draft accordingly??
Many of us have already had this discussion numerous times so I guess anything I have to say is moot. I will add, again, if anyone actually competed in sports now, or growing up, they would always give their best and not "save it" for when it really counts. I'm still dumbfounded by this insane thinking, "I save my best for the main stuff." I guess that's because I'm a true competitor and don't like to give a half-a$$ effort in any endeavor I enter, regardless.
Jules, if you read this, which league was harder to win.....your main or the 3 City??

Also just my 2 cents, but if you are giving overall winners 40 points, thats insane. Considering the top 2 guys 56 points all came from one fabulous year in winning both their league and overall, yet they havent done anything in the other years, skews your rankings. Not to take anything away from either of those guys, as winning the entire thing is a greater accomplishment in itself then any ranking or league title, but if you have followed the NFFC for 3 years and are trying to show a true model based on consistency, and were comparing King of Queens vs. Gordon Gekko, it's not even close. KOQ is far and away a more superior player yet your rankings dont reflect that.
Giving points for satellite wins and other non main league events isnt a good indicator either as now you are mixing different contests. You should come up with a formula for each event, as it will give you a better indicator of consistency. 40 bonus pts for the overall win too much? It's a huge accomplishment and a big payday. If those winners never win another lge they will gradually slide down the rankings, but I think it is a worthy lifetime accomplishment that deserves the weight/recognition that I've assigned it.
My rank is not designed to credit the most consistent player, I've defined it as accumulated lifetime achievement. IF KOQ keeps playing and winning he could very well be on top without winning the overall championship, and if he does it's well-deserved. (Kinda like Shawn Childs has surpassed all of the NFBC champs).

If I win the overall championship, and cash in nothing else for the decade, I will still be ranked near the top of the rankings...
I guess to me, showing consistent success is a much better barometer.

Well if thats the case as far as going for lifetime achievement vs. consistency, then that makes sense. Also, when we get to 5 and 6 years and longer, the rankings will become more accurate.
Anyways, I wasnt trying to knock your rankings, I think its great you are doing it, just putting in my 2 cents and I misunderstood the theory behind the numbers.
