Monday Chat Is Underway

Post by Tom Kessenich » Mon Aug 16, 2004 8:04 am

All right, it's time for another chat. As always, anything is open to discussion from the NFFC to fantasy football, the NFL in general or why Lindsay Lohan is dating Fez from "That 70's Show." So step up and let's have some fun to kick off another week as we get closer to the NFFC.

Tom, I brought it up in another thread and Ico Jones expanded on the idea. Any possibility down the road of a Tournament of Champions with the WCOFF? You can check the Monday Chat Coming Up thread for suggestions.

That's certainly an interesting idea and it's one we could certainly broach with those folks at some point in the future. Maybe some of the folks who are in both events could post the idea on the WCOFF boards to see what the folks there think. Just a thought.

With your #'s not approaching the 600 team level as of yet, at what point (date) will you consider revising the structure (league prize, grand prize, etc.)

I know we have 13 days left and I'm looking forward to the event but realistically 350 teams in two weeks is a lot to expect.

We're begun looking into all of our alternatives. We'll see where things are next week and go from there. As always, we'll be upfront with everyone about where we're at so there isn't any confusion.

One of the things we're seeing is that there's a lot of folks who are on the fence. I think they're checking everything out and probably comparing events and maybe waiting to see which events fold and which events go forward. We're obviously not folding so we can guarantee everyone who signs up that there will be an event with a significant grand prize as well as league prizes. We had a very strong late push for baseball and it wouldn't surprise me if we saw something similar for football.

Tom, our suggestions for the TOC are in the How Many in the WCOFF and NFFC thread, but have the speakers been determined for the Best Buy Welcome Receptions yet?
