congratulations michael. you had a great draft and to add victor cruz to those 3 wr's and gronk is absolutely sick...no wonder you didn't need romo that last week.

So how did Michael Treffiletti win the $100,000 grand prize? Let's look at his draft from New York League 1, where he drafted from the 10th spot:

Round 1: Larry Fitzgerald
Round 2: Greg Jennings
Round 3: Wes Welker
Round 4: DeAngelo Williams
Round 5: Tony Romo
Round 6: Vernon Davis
Round 7: Brandon Jacobs
Round 8: Rob Gronkowski
Round 9: Sam Bradford
Round 10: Darren Sproles
Round 11: Earl Bennett
Round 12: Philadelphia D
Round 13: LaRod Stephens-Howling
Round 14: Mike Goodson
Round 15: Dexter McCluster
Round 16: Donnie Avery
Round 17: Julian Edelman
Round 18: Rob Bironas
Round 19: Early Doucet

He hit the jackpot with Gronkowski in the 8th and Sproles in the 10th. Those were obviously the big keys to his winning $100,000, along with a solid corps of WRs. During a season when the QBs dominated the scoring in the NFFC, he won with Romo who finished 8th among all QBs and gave him 0 points in Week 16. Interesting.

Thoughts on Michael's team? It really goes to show that the old adage is true: You don't win Championships in the early rounds, but with your middle and late picks. Now THAT took skill!!

A hearty congratulations, Michael.

You've achieved something that most of us can only dream of doing. It's well deserved. Enjoy basking in the glory the entire off season.

When you have a chance, you can PM me and I'll send you instructions on how to directly deposit into my kids' college accounts! ;)

Nice job champ. How did he do it? Looks to me like WELKER was the key player. In the 3rd round he got a guy that you could have justified picking first in the entire draft. The Cruz pickup was huge also. I like seeing a guy come in first overall who used his own strategy ---- punted elite running backs and tried to win it with WR. And did win it.

I just want to say thank you to all of you that are posting these well wishes. The last three weeks have been so nervewracking, and when Romo nearly broke his hand and scored me a big fat 0 in the final round I thought that would be the end of me. But fortunately the rest of my team came top play, as they had all year. I think we put up like 165 with a from Romo!!!

I am very flattered by your comments and this is still completely surreal. I feel like I'm on top of the world.

Thanks again for all of your kind posts, it makes it sound even more real for me. This is a good group of people and I really appreciate all of your flattering posts.

A couple of things I said to my brother and my friend JP at the NFFC draft this year:

1. "This Gronkowski guy is going to catch 14 touchdowns this year"

2. "Yeah I missed out on our guy Woodhead, but I got Sproles a round later and I think he can be like a poor man's Woodhead."

3. "If Peyton Hillis is not available, I want Welker in the 3rd."

4. "This is the best team I've ever drafted. Now they just need to perform and stay healthy..."
