Post by Greg Ambrosius » Mon Aug 28, 2006 5:27 am

Roger Miliote and Joe Burke of Jackson, New Jersey signed up on Saturday morning after we had filled New York, but they are happy to still be involved in Las Vegas League 8 as new members to the NFFC family. This is their first event with us and we hope to keep them as happy customers for a long time. Welcome aboard Robert and Joe and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Jeff Daniels of Bay Port, Michigan was one of our first signups for the Chicago main event this year, but he recently had a conflict of schedules and had to back out of the draft. Then on Saturday his schedule cleared again and he saw that Chicago had filled up. Now we have him back in as planned, this time competing in Las Vegas League 8. Welcome aboard Jeff and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Mike Ward of Stamford, Florida returns for a third NFFC season this year and once again he's looking at a hurricane coming his way before the draft. In 2004, Mike was stranded in Florida by a hurricane, but still drafted on the phone with us. He led TEAM NEW to a 12-1 record and the most total points during the regular season, winning $5,000 in the process. Last year he made it out to Las Vegas and teamed up with Alan Narz to lead FONTANA to a third place finish in the Ultimate League, winning $7,500. His TEAM NEW finished 9-4 in Las Vegas League 7 with 1,522.7 points, giving his team a 21-5 head-to-head record in two seasons. Good luck this week Mike with Hurricane Ernesto and good luck with the new baby as I know your wife is expecting very soon. Oh, and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

We're also glad to welcome back another original member of our NFFC and NFBC families as Jeff Dobies of Richmond, New York is back in 2006. Jeff was originally signed up for the main event in New York, but personal problems took him away that weekend to Florida. Las Vegas League 8 now allows him to stay involved with the NFFC, even though he's already done about 8 satellite leagues! :D Last year Jeff led his Show Me The Money team to a 7-6 record in New York League 7 while finishing with 1,517.45 points, while his Colts team finished 6-7 in the NFFC Ultimate League, missing the playoffs with 1,556.15 points. We're glad to have you back this year Jeff and we wish you best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.

Kevin Wall of San Diego, California is another original member of the NFFC family who will be joining us this year in Las Vegas League 8. His wife is expecting any day and thus we're keeping Kevin close to home. He's a die-hard NFFC member who won a league title in 2004 and then competed in the league that produced our $100,000 grand champion last year. Kevin's Harry-In-The-Wall 1 team just missed out on a money finish and a shot at the $100,000 last year as it finished 9-4 in LV3, missing second place by just 16 points. His 1,705.3 points was 37th best overall, but just fourth best in the league. In the Consolation Round, Kevin led his team to a 19th place finish with 543.53 points. Welcome back Kevin and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize, and of course best wishes with the new arrival.

We're glad to have another owner back from last year's Ultimate League as Don and Paul Jagoda of Washington, Michigan will be returning in Las Vegas League 8. The brothers led their Detroit Adroit team to the playoffs in the Ultimate League after going 8-5 with 1,616.75 points, but just missed a money finish among the four finalists. Detroit Adroit also went 4-9 in New York League 3 with 1,529.1 points last year. They will be home to celebrate their parents' 50th anniversary next weekend, but will find time to do our draft. Welcome back guys and best of luck in the hunt for the $100,000 grand prize and the $5,000 league prize.
