2nd question, 3rd place for individual league most points not including league champ can someone explain is that up to week 13? there is no additional playoff between 3rd and 4th in total points for that 3rd place prize, it's just who has next best total points after total points league champ after week 13? Weber, in the league playoff over Weeks 14-16, both teams start with 0 points. They do NOT carry over their weekly scoring averages for that. They start from scratch.

Yes, third place will be decided after Week 13. Yes, most total points for the third place prize after Week 13, no playoff between third and fourth place.

Last year, I think we had about 57 percent of league champs won h2h and total points. So we would have awarded all of the league prizes after Week 13 for 57 percent of the leagues. The other 43 percent would have had a three-week playoff for the additional $2,500 first place prize. Could be some fun, don't you agree?

This is our way of balancing out the talent in a 14-team league and providing everyone a ray of hope during the off-season before we randomly select all of the league spots. No longer MUST you need a top two pick to win as those teams won't get top talent at the turn for the third round. In fact, they'll be picking at the end of the third round. That one small change should balance out our 14-team league and hopefully not scare anyone away from our larger league format.

Nostradamus, I believe you are a WCOFF participant. Do you believe this is a good concept or an unnecessary concept?

i think it's an interesting concept, i think the WCOFF players are starting to come on board.. however im debating to enter the main event only because if i don't i'll be in the ultimate auction league.. Greg in the upcoming weeks if you can get me the bidding results from last year's ultimate auction league that would be great.. i really do consider myself an auction specialist however i've never done 14 team leagues, i would like to see the difference in money bid since wcoff and nffc uses the same salary of 200.00.. i assume this information is not classified since you have the bidding results from 05 on the main page.. thanks. either way i can't wait till NFFC 07, most likely i'll do both .. im a sucker for a good gamble..

We had one $1250 Auction League in Vegas last year and didn't attempt a $5,000 Ultimate Auction League. This year we've added that because several customers have asked for it. Hell, in baseball I already have 41 Ultimate League signups, so I feel good about football. I will definitely mail or fax or e-mail the dollar values from that auction league and anything else you need. The facts are out there and available to you and anyone else. Just shoot me your e-mail address in a PM and I'll get this taken care of next week.

Greg,

I respect all your decisions but I'd really like to see a playoff for that 3rd position. Like GG said, more teams would stay interested until the end. I won't bring it up again but I would like you to seriously consider it for 2007.

Thanks

Thanks It's a good idea. I'll consider, but most likely for 2008.

1) I'll be in Las Vegas and I buy the beers!! That's usually a good selling point for that one.

2) Tom will be in New York and he will buy the beers!!!

3) Chicago is known as the Windy City!!!

Hope this helps! :D

Rick/Tamu-
I'll share the trifecta distinction with you.

Weren't you Pink Floyd in the '05 CHI Main?
I was team that got knocked to 3rd when Big Mo
won the league in week #13 even though they
were 11th in Points (they did it to me again in
L-V Auction week #15 playoff game).

-----------------------------------------

Greg- I have condo on the beach that will not be
rented week of draft. So'I'll use that and be
able to drive from ATL. Definetly not ruling out a return to Vegas (or Chicago...parents live there). Wanted to fortify your 4th city in
its inaugural year!!
Bill
