Anyone Up For A 5-Round Mock Draft?

Okay, Tom Kessenich and myself are tired of looking at fantasy football rankings and ratings. We're hungry for some live drafts and we're interested to see how the first couple of rounds in the NFFC will play out. That being said, we want to get the ball rolling and coordinate some live mock drafts to get everyone else excited for football.

We're shooting for Thursday afternoon, June 3rd between 2 and 3 p.m. EST. If we can find 12 other owners, we'll have a live 5-round draft using the NFFC scoring system in a separate thread. Fourteen of us will make our first five picks and allow everyone else to critique us or chime in. We could go further, but five rounds is good for now.

Who wants to join us during those valuable work hours? First 12 to sign up with Tom and me get in. We might even do this a few times a month to get everyone involved. Okay, sign up and join us for the draft. I'll make sure we're all here on Thursday and get the draft rolling.

By the way, we will be running an NFFC 18-round mock draft for our second issue of Fantasy Sports Magazine and will publish those results in the issue that hits newsstands Aug. 1. I will randomly pick 14 NFFC members to join us for that mock draft in late June and give them a little free publicity in that issue. More details on that coming soon.

Ken and Paul, you're in. We'll likely start it a little after 2 p.m. EST on Thursday after my late lunch/hoops game. Will Robertson is also in and Dave Cushard wants to do it as well. So we're amassing some serious players for this mock draft. I have a feeling we can do 70 picks in an hour and then we'll let everyone critique our picks. Should be fun. See you there.

Pete, we'd love to have ya. We'll have a draft order before noon tomorrow and start the draft shortly after 2 p.m. EST. Just show up on the selected thread and we'll have some fun with this. Thanks and welcome aboard.

I understand the time differential John, but I promise we'll do an evening one soon, maybe even next week. We'll get the ball rolling this week and give a thread for everyone to talk about. This is just a way to get football out front and center, even with training camps seven weeks away. Enjoy the results and we'll get you in a mock draft soon.
