John Rundle Wins NFFC Online Championship $60,000 Prize

CONGRATULATIONS to John Rundle of Pembroke, Massachusetts for winning the $60,000 grand prize in the NFFC Online Championship. John had two teams in the Championship Round of the Online Championship and won going away with a record 724.97 points. He beat runnerup Tim Eichten by 25.91 point. Great job everyone.

This was a record year for the NFFC Online Championship as we finished with 948 teams and 79 leagues. The $60,000 grand prize was the largest in our three year history of the Online Championship. Thanks to all who participated.

John is an NFBC and NFFC veteran who had a solid season, making the Championship Round in the NFFC Classic and the Online Championship. His winning Online team was drafted on Aug. 27th at 5 pm ET. That team was first in total points during the regular season and it deservedly finished first after Week 16. Great job John.

@Aragon - Whether you play 1 team or 10 teams, you still have to put together that one team with the right combination to beat all others. Playing multiple teams doesn't really carry an advantage, but rather, it provides you more opportunity...but then again, you still have to do your homework regardless.

This is a competition, where, in the end, someone is declared the winner, earning bragging rights and the top prize...which is why we ALL play.

I don't think it's necessary to point out how many teams someone played - it's irrelevant.

Your ONE team was competing against his THREE teams the same as all the other 900+ teams up until the final 167. Whether one person owns 5 teams or five other players own those same five teams individually, you're still competing against the same number of teams.

Hollywood, with all due respect, you’re wrong. Any owner with multiple teams has an advantage over another owner with only one team. That owner has more money in and less profit out, but as a single team owner, I’m at a disadvantage in winning the overall.

John, sorry, I didn’t mean to hijack the thread and diminish your winning the Online. I should have started a new thread. You did an excellent job, with 2 of the 3 in the playoffs, ending up 1st and 52nd.
