How would people feel about EBAY-style bidding for free agents in either of two formats:
actual live bidding process over the course of a day or two for any free agent, or
same process as today, but the winning bid only goes 5 points higher than the next highest bid.
Don't know if I would be pro or con -- I just thought of this off the top of my head. The first one sounds more interesting, but probably tough to pull off logistically with the site.

Hello. My name is Lee Scoresby. I come from Texas, like flying hot-air balloons, being eaten by talking polar bears and fantasy football.
