Who took 1st RB in 4th round?

Post by Route Collectors » Mon Nov 08, 2004 10:58 am

This thread is for those teams who waited until round 4 to take your 1st RB. Who did you take, how is your team doing etc.....?

Hopefully this can be a fun thread. God knows we've had enough tension to last a lifetime.

I took Wheatley in the 4th and now have a head full of gray hair to prove it.LOL
I won't display my entire lineup, as it seems to change on a weekly basis, but the core difference makers so far are Manning/Walker/Mason/R.Moss - when healthy.

M.Moore is really the only RB help via F/A.
Pittman has been a life saver since coming back from suspension.

Currently I'm tied with 3 other teams for 1st in Chicago 3 - 7th in overall points.
Every week is a nail biting affair. I'd hate for this team to come so far and not at least make the final 32. Please come home soon Randy!

Jersey Paul in my league did the same thing (NY 6), as he took Wheatley as his 1st RB in the 4th. HOWEVER, I think he would disagree with you about Moore as he picked up Droughns, and it has helped him in many games. Where he made it big was picking up Plummer, as he is having a career year.

What has helped Jersey Paul (through the 1st 8 games) is a favorable schedule. That all being said if I lose tonight (pretty good possibility), then we will be tied (along with two other teams) for 1st, and we face off against each other next week. Should be a good one, but after the week I had against the team I played, ANYTHING can happen!

I meant Moore was MY only help. Would've liked to had Droughns but couldn't bid high enough.
What is your team name by the way?

In Chicago 4 - I took Lee Guggs in Round 4 as my 1st RB after taking Owens & Holt in Rnd 1 & 2.

Then (Big Mistake) took a QB in Round 3 (McNair) and a PK in Round 6 (Vandy).

I won't do that again! Live & Learn!

I am 4-5, but lost in week 8 by .4 pts

I attribute those two draft mistakes and not understanding and utilizing the FA draft properly as the reasons for my poor performance.

I am still an active participant, but I'm playing for next year.

First 5 picks for money

1st R. Moss
2nd Dante
3rd T. Gonzalez
4th Charlie Garner
5th Emmitt Smith

I started strong but injuries to Galloway, Garner, Terry Glenn and Randy Moss have killed me.
I went from 44 in week five to 128 and 5-4. Culpepper is not the same guy without Moss...I love my strategy if I had stayed healthy.

We wanted the Moss/Culpepper combo but Culpepper was gone. Manning has been crazy good this year.
If we only had a defense, all Colts fans could look forward to the post season.

You're right, you've been decimated by injuries. that's got to be the most frustrating part of FF.

We've done pretty well without Moss but it sure would be nice to have him back in the lineup. I'm sure you agree.
