Newbie Question

Post by BluePeep » Thu Jun 02, 2005 4:02 am

I've been poking around a bit - We have 3 possible teams looking for a league - May have to talk our way around this Labor Day weekend draft...

Anyway - Things look pretty straight forward. My main concern is the FA bidding system though. I'd think this is the area were people who have gone through this system have the biggest advantage... The values for players can be anywere from what I see. Any tips or stories from last year that might help us in choosing a league?

Thanks!!!

All of the weekly bids are listed within the General Discussion area on these Message Boards. There is a pulldown area at the top of this area that you can say "show posts from last year" and you'll find separate threads for each week of FAAB bidding. It will take a little time to search all 13 weeks, but you'll find them. That will also show you how much of an inexact science FAAB bidding is as some players went for much more in one league than another.

This year we'll also post the runner-up bids for each player in each league so that you can get a gauge of what you need to pay for certain players.

Contact me at [email protected] if you need any more information. We'd love to have you in the NFFC.

The thing you gotta love about Gordon Gekko is as much smack as he talks he is always willing to do what he can to advance the interests of our great league. (ie giving a potential player asking questions about the league info on the FA drafting system) Gordon I tip my hat to you for that. I agree the NFFC is the best game in town.

Look for Cobra Kai to attempt to "sweet the leg" this year though Gordon as I'd submit one championship is enough for you!
