Yes it's nice for the teams that have a need for a player that emerged and has the early game, I just prefer them to run once a week, preferrably on Saturday or Friday. It seems like the week gets really disjointed having to figure out all your rosters and planning bidding for Wednesday - it was nicer to have until Friday to get all that done (must really be a PAIN for those with 50+ teams).

Damned greedy NFL's fault for having so many Thursday night games
He already went for $800-$900 Perry on Wednesday!!! People didn't need to see him blow up on Thursday night to bid aggressively on him. And again, that 28-point game that you are dismissing would have been lost and we would have had a huge debate on why the NFFC was the only HSFF game around not allowing anyone to pick up Andre Brown and start him during his biggest week of the season.

By the way, aren't you retired? ;) I would think you could handle that one mid-week free agent period for your one NFFC league. :D

Greg - The story I heard was that Perry was in NYC one weekend and was trying to get a cab. As he tried to get in one there was another individual sitting in the back. It was Andre Brown and he told Perry to get out that he was not sharing a cab with him. From that day forward Perry vowed to never bid on him in FAAB if he ever became viable one day. So point of story is that Perry wanted to have waivers after the big game so people would spend even more money on him..... ;)

To me it is pretty much just a once a week bidding process that needs to be done before the Thursday game. You can tell by Fridays FAAB results that very few people use the Friday option, so no harm in keeping it. That being said, I still like having it to see if anything "slipped through the cracks" and obviously for emergency.

It hasn't become hectic for me and my 17 managed teams yet, but I'm sure at some point it will be. ;)

The worst thing so far for me is that the Thursday night games have SUCKED......and Baltimore/Cleveland doesn't look like it will break that trend. :(

I agree with BWaz. Wednesday night is "THE NIGHT" for FAAB, just check in on Friday to possibly compensate for what you didn't get Wednesday, which I think is a great option.

I'm typically busy on Wednesday evenings so most of my waiver wire work has to be done on Tuesdays. I wasn't really thrilled about the early waiver wire period going into the year. I was kind of coming around on it as the drafts approached. But now that it is here I absolutely hate this! This is complete guess work. Do Stafford owners dump a huge bid on Hill on the chance that Stafford is out? (I shouldn't drop names but that one is obvious) There are many, many examples. I put bids in on several flyers but we just don't know enough to make anything other than a guess.

I cut my leagues in half this year and I might cut them in half again next year. It just seems bizarre to me to do pick ups this early for 16 games all because someone can't make plans around a single Thursday night game the next week. It seems like it would be easy to have alternate plan for any player that you might have going in the next Thursday night game.

I hope that this is re-considered next year.

This was definitely a trial and error situation for the year. There were questionnaire's sent out to owners to consider the best option for this year. Of course, there were differences of opinion related to the situation. I'm sure prior to next year, once we've had a season of Thursday night football under our belt, we will be polled again to consider the best option for next year.

I appreciate the feedback, but is this same feedback going on all of the HSFF message boards or are you just asking us to host waivers only on Friday? Should NFFC give up on the Thursday game when it's obvious that all other games are doing FAAB on Wednesday and Friday?

We were the first game to announce Wednesday and Friday, so we're not following other contests and honestly as I stated earlier I would have hated to run a contest last week with just Friday waivers when nobody had a chance to pick up Andre Brown or Ramses Barden in time for their big games. I understand that this week we have some unknown injuries on Stafford and others, but with the NFL today we may not know more on Friday about Stafford than we do today.

I hear ya Wayne, but it's a tough call either way for all game operators, not just us.

The first two weeks were not a problem. Even though I attend Da Bears games normally, when I get home on Sunday and during the Monday night game I generally do waivers. Well Sunday I just didn't feel like it after watching the snoozefest Bears-Rams game and my Son's Boy scout meeting was Monday night. No problem, I'll do it Tuesday night! Wrong, had to check into the hospital (everything is fine :D ) and didn't get home until late last night.
So now I have to do my waivers on the train going home or in a littel bit of a rush tonight.
I was against full waivers on Wednesday when we voted on it but realized why the NFFC went to the program they had to. It worked fine the first couple weeks but I can see it will get tough at times. I just have to train myself to take advantage of the time I have available. Lesson learned. But overall it has been easier than I thought it would be.

***One suggestion**** I like the Live Scoring pulldown where I can switch to my different teams. Would it be possible to have a pull down to switch to my different teams free agent page? That would be SUPER!!!

I lean towards Wayne's view on this (although not quite as strongly) and have cut my leagues across the board for this reason. Tough call for you guys; I understand that. The whole Brown/Barden thing is a bit of a strawman though; I don't think the game is better or worse for being able to pick those guys up on Weds.
