I was speaking on this just this morning and a comment made really resonated, it's simply about one team, any team just getting hot for a four or five week stretch. With all the parity and injuries, it could be alesser team that none of us take seriously that catches health and their schedule right and runs off a lil string that leaves their division rivals in their wake.
TB, Seattle anyone? Yikes that's just frightening lol. Pete Carroll said the Seahawks are the best team in the NFC. If that's the case, then the NFC is REALLY WEAK.
Now I am confused...Raheem Morris said the Bucs are the best.
If they avoid the devastating injuries, Giants are team to beat in conference.
Yea, the Giants do look like the best team in the NFC.
To put how bad the NFC is in perspective.....
The Giants 2 losses this year were to AFC teams Tennessee and Indianapolis by a combined score of 67-24!
What is bad is that teams like Houston and Miami are going to miss out on the playoffs while teams like Seattle and the "winner" of the NFC North are gonna get a shot at the title.
Like Glenn said, AFC playoffs should be great, NFC will be like watching a jv football game.

Here's a good one (as I just discussed with BillyWaz offline):
Opening weekend of the NFC playoffs could very well feature Seattle AND Detroit HOSTING playoff games. You want to talk about some bad football? You've got it right there.
Just amazing how far that conference has fallen in one year from the Vikings vs. Saints in the NFC Championship game.

Just amazing how far that conference has fallen in one year from the Vikings vs. Saints in the NFC Championship game. The Lions have actually played some pretty good football. The defensive secondary is extremely suspect. If they can shore that up next year they will be respectable. To suggest they could host a playoff game at this juncture is quite a longshot. Vegas would put it at 500-1 (I believe). About the same odds of my teams returning a check this year.
They are 5-1 against the spread. If only they used those records.....

For the record, I picked the Lions and the Raiders to make the playoffs this year.
2008- Didn't finish last overall in the Classic.
2009- Didn't finish last overall in the Classic or Primetime.

this has been a crazy first seven weeks, but the cream seems to be the Steelers, Patriots, Giants, Ravens, Titans, and Jets..Atlanta is right there with at least two of those teams. Otherwise, I agree with this list.
AFC playoffs should be awesome. NFC? Not so much.
agree KoQ, i failed to mention the "birds". i'm not sold on them as of yet, but they are still probably #2 behind NY. the NFC is such a mess, so for all these reasons, the SB winner will probably come from the NFC... ...go figure.
until falcons can come up with some solid road wins (like giants : houston , dallas ) i cant count them in this list. can they do it , maybe but show me first.
