Assuming Cameron can sustain an elite pace (a legitimate question) I would agree. Right now, Cameron is what Jimmy Graham was two years ago - a lower round pick blowing up. But for every Cameron, there's a Jared Cook (quiet since Week 1), Jermichael Finley (0 in Week 3 because of injury), Martellus Bennett (quiet Week 3) or a Kyle Rudolph (blah) who went in the same range who aren't getting it done or not getting it done consistently. Even Tony Gonzalez is off to a sluggish start.David U Kennedy wrote:I think your missing something about the whole Jimmy Graham statement Tom. I would much rather have Jordan Cameron for the price he went for this year.
Graham's value is that he's a stud talent who has proven he can perform over the test of time. He is averaging 27.6 points per game in the NFFC. That total not only leads all tight ends, but all wide receivers too. So if he's going to produce at that type of level he absolutely needs to be in the discussion where the No. 1 WR is being drafted in my opinion.
And thanks Frank. Much appreciated.
